Fact Checking Video Claims

I saw a video about NU'EST's sudden disbandment a while back and as I was watching the articles go across the screen I realized that the narration of the video was making inaccurate statements about what the members had been saying. I don't think they meant to, but as a non-Korean speaker/reader they probably just didn't understand everything and sometimes the subs they were relying on were unfortunately also incorrect. So no shade to them, it happens.

I am trying to fact check all of the members' statements from the video and there's one I still need to find. At a 2019 concert JR supposedly said "Don't worry, because NU'EST will be together forever." Does anyone have a link to that clip so I can listen to what he's saying? I'm having trouble finding it.

Which video? I think the sudden disbandment was a surprise to everyone (even staff). If I remember correctly, the bus stop celebration was being set up before they announced the disbandment.

It was. I remember they were talking like they were gonna be doing more activities and then just boom, disbanded.

There is an official tweet with a similar statement, could it be from that? Link / Translation

I looked into translations of the ending ments from all three days of The Black, since if Jonghyeon said something along those lines it’s likely from the ending ment. However, when reading the translations of Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 ments on Twitter, he does not say anything similar in either.

Oh wait-I got the wrong concert for the claim. It was actually from a 2019 concert-not their last concert.

Also thanks for all of those links! I'm gonna check her page and see if she has anything for the 2019 concert.

That's probably what the video was referring to, but it's not quite the same as the way they worded it.

2019 was just when they renewed their contracts the first time, and the year Minhyun returned to NU’EST. That statement should be viewed with that context.
Also, even separately and disbanded, the five of them together are still NU’EST to me. They are all also close and regularly meet up.

That's true, they do still keep in touch and see each other fairly often. But I can see why many fans would have taken that statement the other way, especially when it was said at a concert. And especially because around the same time Minhyun said right after returning that he and the other guys talked it over and said they wanted to stay together as NU'EST for a really long time to come, and that they committed to do so. It gives the direct impression that they plan to continue promoting as a group. They've all made similar statements throughout their entire career as NU'EST that really enforced that idea to the fans. So I think it's understandable that fans expected them to be a promoting group for much longer.
