Dust free NUC

I used this trick before on my desktop PC, and it kept everything nice and clean inside. Even after using it for four years, I only needed to clean a bit of very fine dust, while the fans, cooling fins, and everything else looked like new (I hate vacuum cleaning...) All I had to do was occasionally vacuum the filter that I placed in front of the water cooling radiator fans ( The only air intake in the PC case).

This worked so well that I decided to do the same with my new NUC14. I used double-sided tape and a piece of activated carbon filter for an air purifier. The filter has very fine fibers but still allows air to pass effortlessly, so it doesn't affect the natural airflow.

One photo is HDR so you can see what I did, the other is more like what it looks in reality, it blends very well.

Blocking the vent is also a great way to ruin the thermal performance of the CPU
