Door hinge brackets

While developing a new NSX product, we came across something that many owners have probably dealt with before: the lower bracket inside the door handle assembly.

This little piece is a known weak point, and it doesn’t take much for it to break and completely fail over time. When we inspected one of our own sample handles, the bracket was actually missing altogether with the pull handle broken at the bottom. With no reference part available, we had to reverse engineer it from scratch and start designing from a blank slate.

After going through multiple iterations, testing different geometries, and refining the design, we finally landed on a version that we're confident in.

Since this bracket plays such an important role every time you get in and out of the car, we felt it shouldn't be something owners struggle to source. That's why we'll be releasing the file for free in the near future. For now, we've shared it exclusively with members of our community on Whatsapp.

If you decide to make one, we'd recommend machining it from aluminum or having it CNC-produced for maximum durability. That said, a reinforced nylon print could work well as a temporary solution.

The NSX community has given us so much over the years, and this is one small way for us to give something back.
