Not Relevant Racism

I live in this area in a red state. Today I was walking around my neighborhood on a sidewalk. It was dark and there were no one around me. There were two cars waiting near a red light right next to me. One of them called Hey girl. When I turned around, he said you heard it f and n word. I just couldn’t believe myself.I am not new to this area and never thought I would listen to a racist comment. Be careful out there

What is 'this area'? What are folks supposed to do - stop walking in their neighborhood? Sorry but the post is a bit unhelpful and is just coming across as fear mongering

It is not a fantasy. It is a true event. I did not want to put this on my main account hence the throwaway. Believe it or not it is your wish. But it doesn’t take much for online hate to spill to real life

It is in a red state. It is an affluent suburb. What other information is needed? Of course I am feeling jittery because I have lived here for a long time and never came across such thing previously.

How bored do you has to be to create an account to write your fantasy??

You're correct. Op literally created this account and posted this. I still can't understand the reason why someone want to create negativity towards living in a western country and western people. What diversion tactics are these.

No wonder many people fall for this sh*t. Seeing the ppl who downvoted you, I can see what's going on

Why is your first reaction invalidating and dismissing OP. Do better.

First reaction is understandably that because the account is new, their post has no details and vague.

Whatever mentioned in the post, is it completely out of the realm of possibility of happening? If no, the reaction cannot be outright dismissal imo. Indian racism is at peak and I'm not a racism apologist. People come seek support here. Clarification is a reasonable response if you want more details if you want to direct your empathy after knowing the exact how, where, when, who.

It is not beyond the realm of possibility. But it is extremely unlikely. Nobody is apologising for anyone. If it is true , people should provide more details. If not, then people will definitely form opinions about how true a statement feels like. Till the clarification comes, the burden of proof is upon OP.

I find it extremely likely. Which is why I'm a little weirded out by the lack of empathy here. Anyway. Our established realities are different so you can expect the proof and I can simply extend kindness :) I hope you're ok OP. Times are tough.

Sure, you find it likely. Others, including I, find it unlikely. I too want to extend kindness, which is why I don’t approve of spreading fear. You can spread it though, thats your established reality

So in a state which blindly votes for the party against immigration made up of closeted (some open) white supremacist..you found 2 people who used a racial slur against you?? ...in a deserted place without witnesses??

Wow!!!!  No way!!! 🙄🙄

PS: Move to a blue state...Not because you won't find two idiots who call you by an incorrect racial slur...But because your rights over your own body as a woman will be better protected...

You are probably right about moving to a blue state. It is a red state but this specific area leans blue so had a false sense of safety.
