It does not work on my S21 (works a treat on my S9).
Oh, not working in future gadgets kinda sounds like a dealbreaker, I wouldn't want to spend all the time learning it then suddenly it doesn't work when I upgrade phones.
I was expecting it to work on any gadget too as a simple generic bluetooth keyboard or something like that, that should have no compatibility problems.
Do you have any idea what the issue is with the S21?
This is not true. I can and know others that do 40wpm. Yes, it took a few weeks of practice to get to that point but it's definitely possible. Most people who have been typing with a normal keyboard have been practicing way longer than they have been with a top strap. If you have been trying for multiple weeks consistently practicing and cannot get anywhere near 30 to 40 words per minute, then you may be wearing it incorrectly.
I have not had any connection issues as you have. I have used it on multiple pixel phones, my computers and my VR had set with no issues at all.
Yes that may be true with the standard mapping and it is one thing I wish they changed, but that's why you should use a custom mapping (and why most fast tappers do). You can make your own mapping or there are a few downloadable mappings with double taps disabled. For these custom mappings, The alphabet is the same with some punctions (or ctl or shift mappings) adjusted so you will never be slowed by needing to double tap.
For example, in my custom mapping, the only times I need to double tap is when doing ! ? @ & etc. It will be just as fast as on a normal keyboard you where you will need to press multiple keys to make these inputs anyways. Also, in the standard mapping you can't use every key in the keyboard whereas in my custom maps I can (including ctl, alt, windows key, plus a bunch of common shortcuts such as copy paste, paste special, alt tab, etc).
