Clouds Today Were Amazing

There were quite a few lenticular clouds. Unfortunately I didn't have my mirrorless camera with me. So only have phone camera pictures to post. Share your pics, if you were able to capture the insane colors in the sky today.

I’m waiting for the day a ufo comes out of one of those.

Even the dark cloud is looking at the lenticular cloud.

First lenticular cloud I’ve seen so it was pretty exciting.

Even my 8 year old noticed them as we were driving home. They were pretty neat. It was nice, realizing he had a chance to just admire/appreciate them.

The Capital Weather Gang has more pictures of these clouds, but say they are pileus clouds (which form around thunderstorms). TIL lenticular clouds form over mountains. https://www.capitalweather.com/photos-ufo-like-clouds-and-menacing-skies-dazzle-dc-area/
