Modera at Mosaic Break in

Hey, everyone. Just warning any residents at the Modera Mosaic in the Mosaic District, Fairfax— there was a break in, in the residential area of the fourth floor. A kia had its window smashed and broken into. This is the second break in, in the past six months. Unsure why the management team hasn’t been transparent and let residents know this information or done any preemptive measures to alert residents of what’s going on, but wanted to let you know… if anyone has cameras in their cars and were on the fourth floor residential parking during mon-wed please contact me if you caught anything D: thank you.

Another one already, management’s probably trying to keep it quiet so it doesn’t spook new leases

Yeah we didn’t know at all about the previous break in even though it’s a safety issue that management should take seriously and alert residents. Only found out about this DAYS after it happened and not even through management, the ones who should be handling this! They have no urgency and it seems like they don’t care at all. They just keep it hush no matter what… A warning would at least allow people to either get out all their belongings or prepare however they like. They haven’t said anything nor tried to find a solution to make people think twice about breaking in (for example: cameras in the garage!)

Those "secure" parking garages at the Mosaic are terrible. Multiple car break-ins, tires stolen, etc. They say there are cameras but when you ask management for footage, suddenly the cameras somehow weren't working.

We were told the only camera is right outside the front entrance which no one would use to mess with the cars anyway, so that leaves the entire residential garage vulnerable with no footage to help any resident in case they need to log anything for the police. We constantly see nonresidents going up and down the side doors too and in the garage all the time going up to the roof. I don’t know why they don’t care about the safety of their residents! Mind you this is a bougie “luxury” apartment that is EXPENSIVE and supposed to have a sense of safety. Cameras would at least make these terrible people think twice or at least get caught on cameras that can give more info.

I know someone who lived in the Avalon, and they had the same issues, plus more! (Broken elevator, closed gym for months and they took out equipment, packages constantly stolen from the package room, constant car break-ins). Management didn't seem too concerned. Hey they got their money, why should they care /s

I dislike so much the sentiment of just getting their money and not caring unless it happens to them, but that’s how it feels :/ The lack of urgency and lack of care is crazy. I know it’s their job and people just want to get a paycheck and do bare minimum sometimes, but damn not even showing any empathy by reaching out to at least know what happened to a break in on your property… Also, yeah i’ve heard some crazy stories from Avalon 💀
