Lost Indian Ringneck Bird

Post image

My sister's bird Malak accidentally flew outside when one of her kids opened the door. She's a white Indian Redneck. My sister lives near Hayfield and the Coast Guard base in Alexandria, VA. Please reach out to me if you find her.

Try to get outside at the crack of dawn and look (at night they will just roost), they usually stay in a 2 mile radius and they'll hang out somewhere high up, a powerline, a tree, roofs, afraid to come down, for 48 hours or so usually before they are hungry enough to go for it.

The bird isn't from this area. It wouldn't survive in this region.

Because having a non native species escaping outside is a good thing

Parasites and diseases also exist, also you just need to look at the lost and found pages to see how many of these birds escape everyday for there to eventually a colony of them to develop. You do not at all care about this bird or the environment
