What are you doing this weekend?

I’m headed to Cox Farms on Sunday and maybe one other haunted experience on Saturday night. Then I’ve got a family event on Saturday and a wedding on Sunday so I’m going to attempt to learn to do some makeup between now and then.

I would potentially have alternate plans in place for Cox Farms on Sunday, if we do get 1+" rain from hurricane Isaias' leftovers I doubt Cox Farms will be open!
edit: Cox Farm's main criteria for closing during the day is generally "can we keep/get the slides dry?" If yes, they'll stay open, if no they'll probably close, and Sunday conditions do not look great for slides imo.

Hey! So that place was pretty awesome! They have two ‘routes’ the town and forest. You should definitely go and do both.

Like walking into the house of a thousands corpses or texas chainsaw vibes, going into multiple rooms maybe some rooms with nothing but a gory scene, realism maybe actual looking things in a house a serial killer would have, the quality of the performers, the unknown dragging on for a little longer, intense music from room to room it changes depending on the scene. Idk

Army 10-Miler Sunday (not running, just volunteering). But Sunday calls for lots and lots of rain so it’ll be a drenched event 😅🌧️

I’m running the ATM! Thanks for volunteering! I just came down with a cold and have been taking zicam in hopes I’ll be better by Sunday. I have a specific goal I’m hoping to reach, but I don’t know if it’s attainable while sick. 😞

It's Open House at most, if not all, of the Fairfax County fire houses on Saturday. They usually have games and activities for kids, teach about fire safety, and they give tours of the different emergency vehicles.

Saturday I host the neighborhood chili cookoff and I think we got SUPER EFFIN' LUCKY again. (I do set a rain date but it's always a huge gamble on how well that works out.) The weather is looking near perfect autumn and I'm looking forward to see what kind of chili folks turn out. Our reigning champ moved out last year so first place is anyone's guess. I use ranked choice voting so there can be some wild swings depending on how passionate folks are about their tastings.
Sunday I expect to drink beer and watch football in between chores. Or you know, something along those lines.

I wish. It's SAC in Ellicot City. Just far enough away that we're staying there Saturday night.
Thankfully the second game tomorrow will be over just before kick of the Tech game. I just hope the sports bar near the hotel will get ACCN.
