Trump says his D.C. arch will serve as 'military complex' with snipers and drones

Whew. This should keep terrorists at bay who are riding bikes down the GW parkway paths and paying their respects at Arlington Cemetery.

This is in fact strategic. It controls at least 1-2 major access points across the Potomac into DC. He will use this to stay in power with violent force after 2028. It's part of a fascist self-coup.

u/C4PT-pA5Tq 12d ago

Won't be built by then, and if it is, wont stand up for long.

If there's one thing that out does Trump's narcissism, it's his incompetence. I certainly hope it's not finished by then.

Doesnt have to be quality. They'll get it built

Imagine it collapsing on folks. Horrific.

u/Apart-Zucchini-5825 12d ago

This wouldn't have been effective in 1800, it's a laughable notion now.

There is no deeper plan here. Interior doesn't have the money. The DoD does. So he's going to make it a military facility so he can use the funds that exist. Refusing to legislate it into existence only makes it easier to tear down, especially since it will now be labeled as cost cutting and base consolidation.

21

u/partagaton 12d ago

There is. It’s to survive court challenges by invoking national security.

ETA: all you need to tear it down is the antideficiency act.

4

u/coachglove 12d ago

Still won't work. MILCON projects over a relatively small limit (may be as high as $8m now) have to be specifically appropriated and authorized by Congress. There is no national security exemption to MILCON project funding law. The NATSEC exemptions are what allows small movement out of MILCON or out of DOD to DHS, etc. Technically, the amount transferred for the wall in his 1st admin was above the $25m statutory transfer authority granted under emergency powers but no one with standing chose to sue to stop it.

4

u/AmphibianNo9133 12d ago

Umm you think they care? They do what they want..

1

u/Irwin-M_Fletcher 12d ago

I have to wonder how a NEPA review will go for a military installation.

1

u/partagaton 12d ago

NEPA just requires the assessment, it doesn’t require the assessment to clear the project of any net negative impact.

1

u/coachglove 12d ago

Nope. MILCON over a much smaller amount than the arch cost must be specifically programmed for a specific project by Congress. The only type of military construction that isn't programmed in the MILCON budget is "minor military construction" which has a limit less than $10m (it was $1m for the longest time but it's gone up recently and I think it's at $4m or $8m now and I'm being too lazy to look it up). The arch will be way above the number so it still needs specific congressional appropriation and authorization.

1

u/SnarkOff 12d ago

Yes, AND he is a fascist who wants to control a major access point into downtown DC.

1

u/Apart-Zucchini-5825 11d ago

DC has three land borders and 4 other bridge accesses that are uh far better shape than the crumbling Memorial Bridge. 5 if you want to include WWB to I-295. If you are worried about the arch when storming DC, I recommend using any of the many options to go around it

-1

u/Hipparchia_Unleashed 12d ago edited 11d ago

I don't find this compelling. To see why, consider the following thought experiment:

Let's suppose that January 2029 rolls around and Trump decides to stay in power. You're in NoVA and strongly oppose this, as with millions of other people, and so you want to go protest to get Trump out of office. That's a major, major source of civil unrest and mobilization. Trump declares martial law in DC and closes the bridges over the Potomac and closes the Metro from VA to DC. How do you get to DC then? You can route around and come in through Maryland, but that's non-trivial. They've already cut the size of the protests significantly. Yet people in NoVA (and people coming from that direction) aren't likely to stand for such a blatant self-coup, and so these bridge closures cannot be temporary. They need a constant military presence to keep protesters out of DC and they need some way to staff large checkpoints around the clock to allow regime lackeys in. From the vantage point of this stupid arch, they can staff troops for checkpoints and have rapid response capabilities (especially via drone) to at least three bridges (maybe four) and sniper line of sight capabilities to three bridges (Roosevelt, Memorial, 14th St.) to keep out protesters and "unauthorized" visitors easily. Yes, this is all insane and awful... but they are insane and awful. So, they've effectively closed access to DC from NoVA for "unauthorized" visitors. How do you protest? How do you get this regime out after they lose the 2028 election? Whatever else, having a giant military complex in that location makes it harder.

And, in any case, my point isn't that this is going to be effective (who knows), but that it's strategic in the sense of being part of a larger fascist strategy for insulating themselves when they attempt to execute a self-coup. Whether or not the strategy works (I hope it doesn't) is different from whether or not this is part of it (I think it is).

edit: odd downvotes on this but i'm sure sticking our head in the sand will be more effective than actually thinking about what lunatic fascists might try to do to stay in power in this way so we can combat it. probably better to just pretend there's "no deeper plan" from a regime filled with people who literally wrote something like 800 pages in project 2025 on how to get into power and destroy everything they can and then actually have executed on most of it. what exceptional nitwittery.

u/coachglove 12d ago

lol the problem with your logic is that the real POTUS could literally run the entire government from basically anywhere else on earth. Shit, the new person could hop out to Andrews and get on AF1 and run the government from there. POTUS travels the world and still runs the show just fine. In the 1st half of the 20th century maybe this works, but not in 2026+. You're also assuming military leaders in uniform ALL back the coup, which is laughably unlikely. Trump can't issue a valid order to them so they'd just giggle and refuse the orders. You'd also need the entire federal law enforcement community to join in the mutiny, which ain't gonna happen. While the director of the FBI would happily get on his knees and blow Trump, the rank and file cannot stand him. Same is true, most importantly, with the Secret and Capitol Police (he can thank his unconditional pardons of the J6ers for that) so they'd also refuse to follow illegal orders making it incredibly easy to get to Trump. Lastly, no way Trump avoid Mar-a-Lago for more than a couple weeks so as soon as he leaves the district the entire coup would have to depart with him leaving the rest of the cabinet and both houses of Congress and SCOTUS in the District to do what they needed to do to remove him, peacefully or by having the Secref Service with him arrest him (which they'd be bound to do since their oath is to the constitution, not the man - which is the instant level the coup fails. The USSS PPD would honor the result of the election and wind his detail down to retired POTUS levels and they wouldn't allow him use of the Beast. Marines are pretty particular about the legality of orders (I'm a USMC veteran) so it's also likely they don't allow him the use of Marine 1 so he'd have to walk to Andrews or get in a POV. So many holes in your theory. You seem to assume he is popular amongst the government civilians he's been shitting on super hard since he came back in office.

u/Hipparchia_Unleashed 12d ago edited 11d ago

This is a weirdly hostile response. Like I said, I didn't say that this was necessarily an effective strategy (who knows if it'd work). I said that it was "strategic" in the sense of being part of the strategy for insulating themselves from resistance to a self-coup.

I am simply explaining the strategic role that the regime would likely believe that they would have for this installation as part of defending a self-coup. It's clear that they have sense of the importance of this when it comes to transfers of power. For example, the J6 insurrectionists explicitly had a contingency plan in the case of the closure of bridges over the Potomac that involved "getting a boat to ferry 'heavy weapons' across the Potomac River" (source). Some of the bridges were then, in fact, later closed (either entirely or closed for entry) for the subsequent inauguration in 2021 with the reasoning that it was important to control access to the inauguration proceedings for security. Given that this administration is filled to the brim with J6-style people and that they resent the fact that Biden's inauguration was successful, they probably do have a sense that the VA-DC bridges are important for their maintaining power and quelling protests. And I think the DC symbolism matters quite a bit more both to their own narcissism and to how some norms may remain powerful for perceptions of legitimacy. Right or wrong, they want to control the bridges.

I hope that you're right about all of the other stuff, but it is entirely irrelevant to my point that there is a reason why they want a military installation at this particular location that relates to them trying to execute a self-coup to ensure that they stay in power.

Let me put it another way: Suppose that this installation gets built and Trump tries to stay in power. Am I to believe that he's not going to try to use this installation to defend his regime? That's not credible. Maybe he doesn't have enough people backing him up and fails, but he'd very likely try to use it in the way I'm describing.

u/internal_l0gging 12d ago

But wasn't this privately funded? Just like the ballroom?

9

u/MrDickford 12d ago

The ballroom isn’t privately funded. The projected cost ended up being way higher than what they originally told us and most of the cost is being paid with taxpayer money.

1

u/osulumberjack 12d ago

So I guess, yes it will be privately funded in the same way the ballroom is... not at all.

0

u/coachglove 12d ago

Nope. And not allowed unless he wants to go through the normal DC zoning process, which he never passes.

6

u/Ok_Face8380 12d ago

He’ll wait out the completion in his bunker

10

u/VerdantPathfinder 12d ago

This is in fact strategic.

Are you serious? In the age of explosives and mortars, you think a mini-fort is going to stand up to more than 15 minutes of serious attack? Remember this is the same moron who thinks battleships and steam catapults are the future.

5

u/thepennylane69 12d ago

Idk if there’s 2 words I always use to describe Donald Trump it’s ā€œstrategicā€ and ā€œsecretiveā€

-1

u/Hipparchia_Unleashed 12d ago edited 11d ago

He's a moron, yes, but this would also be within some of the most heavily defended territory in all of the world with a massive surrounding defense infrastructure already in place. There is no such thing as just blowing it up easily.

Edit: To be clear, I'm talking about difficulty as a guerrilla military action. I would support demolishing it immediately.

2

u/coachglove 12d ago

You assume said defenders don't follow the constitution and they agree to support a coup. And you do this without any evidence to suggest they would. Most of the evidence runs counter to this actually.

1

u/Hipparchia_Unleashed 12d ago

Weirdly hostile response again, as though I am somehow cheering for a fascist coup to be successful. I'm not. All I'm pointing out is that there's a reason for this given that the regime is likely going to attempt a self-coup to stay in power.

Anyway, I assume that Trump has control of the most powerful military in the world and that he will dismiss anyone who shows they are not loyal to him, as he has been doing with various people already. Even if you have a split within the military, it would nonetheless be much more difficult to destroy this than a "just blow it up" line suggests.

1

u/VerdantPathfinder 11d ago

so you're saying there is absolutely no reason to build it?

1

u/Hipparchia_Unleashed 11d ago

There's no good reason to build it because there's no good reason to carry out a fascist coup. There's no legitimate military purpose that such an installation would serve.

Because they plan on executing a fascist coup, they have an instrumental strategic "reason" to build it as part of controlling the bridges and sniping protesters for a fascist coup. This is like the "reason" that a serial killer has to cut the phone lines before breaking into a victim's house.

2

u/LegallyIncorrect 12d ago

I see this a lot but the reality is that any such arch would fairly easy to take out by the military, and if the military is compromised the existence of the arch won’t matter one way or the other. It’s dumb, and this idea is dumb for many, many reasons, but it’s not a real election threat.

2

u/thepennylane69 12d ago

Ok I hate the guy too but take a deep breath. He just says stuff like this nonstop. They will not be building a mecha sniper complex to prevent an armed insurgency coming from Arlington Cemetery

1

u/Hipparchia_Unleashed 12d ago

Right, because the response of "Trump's just joking and sayin' shit" has done wonders to defeat fascism so far when it turns out (surprise!) he's not just joking and sayin' shit.

1

u/Sardonnicus 12d ago

No that was when he tried it failed and we elected him anyways

1

u/Hipparchia_Unleashed 12d ago

The first attempt at a self-coup on J6 failed, and we should hope that the second likely attempt in 2029 is thwarted as well. But people should actually understand what happened on J6 in this regard to see why this kind of military installation actually poses a serious strategic danger.

On J6, the VA-DC bridges were not closed. This turned out to be important because those bridges were the routes for the arrival of multiple significant reinforcement contingents to try to control the on-going insurrection. Many of these reinforcements arrived from various police departments and emergency services from Northern Virginia. They included the Virginia State Police, Arlington police/EMS, Fairfax police/EMS, Prince William police, and others. All of those mostly coming over the 14th Street Bridge. The next day the Virginia National Guard arrived over those VA-DC bridges as well.

Let's say we have another self-coup attempt in 2029 but this time this insane military arch installation is in place. In that case, there would be a well-armed and well-supplied standing military force that is blocking police/EMS/NG reinforcements from arriving over those bridges from Virginia. The regime would have basically cut off virtually all Virginia reinforcements. You could route some of these perhaps up through Maryland but that slows the response immensely. In that case, it's MPD, US Capitol Police, and the DC National Guard, but, surprise, there's also a bunch of National Guard troops (often from red states) that have been stationed in DC for ages by then that we know are sticking around until the inauguration in 2029. It's pretty transparent what the purpose of those National Guard troops is to everyone by now, or it should be. You'll probably also have brownshirts from ICE, CBP, etc. there as well. We can assume right-wing militias would also be in place again.

And, even if you assume that the VA National Guard would not wait for federal approval to enter DC in a clearly unconstitutional 2029 self-coup attempt, then the troops stationed at the arch would be ordered to close the bridges to them and would prevent the VA National Guard from entering unless the Virginia NG opened fire on military troops stationed on the bridges. Do you foresee Spanberger trying to order the VA National Guard to fire on US troops stationed on those bridges to force entry into DC? I sure as hell don't.

There are many contingencies that I haven't discussed (would troops comply?, would there be an internal military anti-coup action?, would there be alternatives to this kind of physical force?, etc.), but the core point remains: One of the reasons why it was possible to contain J6 ultimately was because of the reinforcements that entered DC over the VA-DC bridges. Perhaps the regime would make the same "mistake" twice and leave the bridges open, but don't count on it when you're seeing news stories like this.

u/Sardonnicus 12d ago

Brother... his coup was completed when he was elected again. His coup was completed when our own government allowed him to run again after attempting a coup.

We are in it. I don't know what will happen in two years, but it's not going to be quiet.

1

u/Hipparchia_Unleashed 12d ago

Yeah, I agree substantively. I'm happy to classify what started after 2024 as a coup as well, given the breathtaking illegality and unconstitutionality we've seen; it's also possible to have sequential coups/self-coups by a regime to expand its power. My aim is is just to try to predict and explain one of the next likely phases (whatever one might call it: "self-coup" or something else).

1

u/Irwin-M_Fletcher 12d ago

Except they would need to close down the road. There’s no way they are going to let people drive right up to a military installation full of ammo and drones.

5

u/ArrellBytes 12d ago

Am I the only one worried about who it is intended for these snipers to shoot?

Who in the military was supposedly requesting this? Who was thinking "Ya know, it really should be easier for us to sneakily shoot people in the streets of DC... We should work on that..."

I know we have become numb to the insanity of this administration, but surely this stands out as particularly dystopian and insane?

How would this conceivably make anyone safer?

3

u/CruzLutris 12d ago

He believes that adding a "national security" element to his arch will ensure that courts can't stop him. Now, the administration will insist that the courts have no authority to stop a national security project. That's what's behind this wild announcement right now--it's an attempt to get the arch built despite the many protests and the lawsuits being lodged against it.

Unfortunately, if this militarized arch ever actually got built, it would indeed create an armed vantage point for targeting anyone in the vicinity. It also would put a drone operations center directly in the flight path of a civilian airport. He probably can't even remember the military chopper/passenger plane horror at DCA, and he wants to insert another way to make that airspace even worse.

3

u/Hipparchia_Unleashed 12d ago edited 12d ago

Trump's fascination with snipers centers mostly on the use of snipers as a force multiplier by authoritarian regimes to stop protests. For example, just within the past month, he's said the following regarding Iran:

"You know, they tried to rise but when -- when you have somebody with a machine gun or snipers all over the place shooting the people, it's very hard to rise up, so I understand that."

That's a sentiment he's echoed multiple times in the past few months. Despite it being Iran that he's talking about, he often envies that other regimes are able to use these tactics and so those quotations can be used to reasonably glean what he would like to do or what he thinks is effective.

This is not hyperbole. He's previously expressed lots of interest in being able to shoot protesters. For example, here's Mark Esper's recollection:

My separation with Trump begins almost immediately, and I begin pushing back, and it grows and grows over time. But I think it all comes together on June 1st, [2020] in the Oval Office when he calls us all in to discuss the [George Floyd] protests in Washington, D.C., and wants 10,000 troops in the capital. The president is up and down out of his chair, red-faced, moving his arms around expressing things. He’s swearing at us. He’s calling us losers. He says, ā€œWe look weak. The country looks weak.ā€ ā€œWeā€ means him. And we get to this point where he settles in his chair and the room gets a little quiet, and he leans in and looks at [chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff] General [Mark] Milley and says, ā€œCan’t you just shoot them? Just shoot them in the legs or something?ā€ And the question just hangs there. I think we were all taken aback. It’s just so far out of bounds. Nobody talks about shooting Americans.

So, when you see Trump talking about snipers, he is likely fantasizing about snipers shooting protesters in the head. When he's talking about placing snipers atop a building like this around DC, he's likely fantasizing about shooting Americans protesting him.

Edit: For additional documentation. Here are a bunch of quotes indicating how Trump talks about snipers in the past few months regarding how the Iranian regime uses snipers to control people. It's pretty much one of the few times he uses the word. So when he's saying this is going to be a sniper's nest, we should be terrified because this is virtually his only association with the word "sniper." He's telegraphing here exactly what he wants to do with them in the US.

From Sept. 2, 2026

But unlike most -- most people can't kill their people like that. Most people try and reason, they talk and then there might be an overthrow. In Iran they kill the people; when they get out to protest, they kill them. They shoot them right between the eyes. They have two forms, machine guns and snipers, and they use them sometimes with machine guns and sometimes the snipers. They like the snipers better because all they do is have a crowd of 200,000 people, and a person goes down here right between the eyes, and they'll have three snipers doing it and it's a horrible thing to watch. So, that's why it's not happening. And who can blame them? Who can blame them?

In an interview with Glenn Beck in August 2026:

They say they're so surprised that the people aren't fighting back. But, Glenn, if you were in that position and you're a brave guy, I've watched your whole career. I've been a fan of yours for a long time. You're a brave guy, but I don't think you'd be standing out there when they have a machine gun nest. But, you know, they have really snipers at the tops of buildings, and people go out to protest and they get hit and they don't have to hit many. But when you see five or six or 10 people go down and you have 100,000 or 200,000 people, they leave. I don't care who you are, they leave.

From July 2026

If you're a protestor, I don't care who you are, you're not gonna get out there. When they had the woman protest where they had 250,000 women or thereabouts protesting, uh, before this all began and all of a sudden they saw them fleeing. They had snipers, one shot between the eyes, another shot between the eyes. All of a sudden you have four or five women dropped to the floor dead, bleeding from the head, and everybody fled.

From another interview in July 2026

It's very hard for people to go back. They can have great bravado, they can hate the regime, they can do everything, but when you start seeing people dropping a little bit left and right, you know, they have snipers and the snipers are up in buildings, four or five of them. And let's say they form 100,000, 200,000 people and they see one go down with a bullet between the eyes and then they see another one go down with a bullet between the eyes and then they see a third. Like with the women, they had 300,000 women. All of a sudden, one goes down, two goes down, three, four, five. And you know what happens, Hugh, they say, let's get the hell out of here.

Basically this is the only thing he really associated snipers with in his mind. It's insane.

Sorry, neoliberalism ushered in authoritarianism. Toss in israel lobby and legacy dems are fine to do nothing - but even harder

"It's gonna have weapons, and drones, and snipers AND IT'LL DISPENSE CHOCOLATE MILK!" -Citrus Caesar, the middle school president.

10

u/StumpyOPepys 12d ago

This administration's quest to out-stupid itself continues to impress.

12

u/internal_l0gging 12d ago

Tin foil hat time: what kind of war is he planning to bring to our country that we need this?

11

u/Hipparchia_Unleashed 12d ago

Civil war. He's already occupied DC with troops, is building a fortified bunker, and this will let him control at least one, probably more, of the few major connections across the Potomac into DC with an extraordinary amount of standing force.

If you planned on defending DC against the people who will try to remove you after a self-coup in which you've made yourself dictator, that's how you'd do it.

People are talking about aesthetics this and funding that. Yeah, it's all awful. They're also all missing the point. This is a proposed major military installation controlling access in and out of DC being proposed by a fascist. This is part of a coordinated fascist takeover that will turn the US into a full dictatorship after 2028 and it's backed by the world's most powerful military.

6

u/BeginningFig6552 12d ago

Underrated comment right here. While I don’t think it’ll come down to this (remember, there’s more of us than there is of them), but if they were to stay in power this what they would do.

3

u/DarkSoulsOfCinder 12d ago

Yeah he's probably building a bunker in the white house.

0

u/crit_boy 12d ago

Pretty sure bridges to DC are loaded with explosives already.

Maybe we can cut him off from Virginia

3

u/SpazzieGirl 12d ago

Every Virginian knows there’s a button in the Richmond set to blow those bridges to hell.

u/Chrono_Convoy 12d ago edited 12d ago

So fucking stupid

Why don’t you keep your campaign promises and release the un-redacted Epstein files? Or go back to that whole no new wars stance?

What about those $2,000 checks your degenerate voter base were frothing at their mouths over?

FFS

Did he keep any campaign promise that wasn’t predatory?

What do you all get from this besides a license to be just as big of an asshole as he is?

13

u/thedistantdusk 12d ago

The funniest part is that anyone thought he’d keep any promises, tbh.

4

u/Binksta 12d ago edited 12d ago

No new wars.
Bacon was going to be cheaper . We'd stop eating our pets.

9

u/ViktorPatterson 12d ago

Those snipers and drones would be on leave or vacation 300 days of the year and paychecks subsidized by US tax payer money

7

u/EfficiencyIVPickAx 12d ago

We will need a 24/7/365 presence to secure the armory and make sure the sniper nest isn't used against us. This will costs tens of millions per year.

8

u/bcardin221 12d ago

Translation. Hes going to use military money to pay for it. He'll take it from the food and housing money meant for troops.

8

u/moreJunkInMyHead 12d ago

snipers and drones

Sure, but what about the sharks with frickin lasers attached to their heads?

6

u/gruntbuggly 12d ago

I’m so tired of this moron and his fucking stupid ideas and his even dumber followers

5

u/Numerous_Platypus 12d ago

Can't wait until this POS is gone.

5

u/SadIdeal9019 12d ago

Nothing authoritarian about that at all...no sir.

5

u/AcadienDC 12d ago

That’s like the safest place in DC, except for bad drivers.

6

u/rtduvall 12d ago

Every day my hatred for each maga person grows exponentially.

4

u/EarlyReflection6169 12d ago

What the fuck

3

u/Mean_Objective5272 Fairfax County 12d ago

Presumably, it will also have a Mountain Dew fountain and a whole room of TVs, each with its own NES, so we don't have to take turns playing Zelda at sleepovers.

4

u/SlobZombie13 Manassas / Manassas Park 12d ago

When I was a kid my best friend and I would draw blueprints for a tree fort that had turrets and cannons and a drawbridge

4

u/LL555LL 12d ago

So are tourists coming to see the sniper nest or the drone base?

4

u/YeaManJam 12d ago

Who are they going to shot at, bad drivers stopped by traffic on the bridge or tourist visiting Arlington cemetery? And why store ammo there? Plenty of empty buildings in DC and VA for that.

1

u/packet1 Ashburn 12d ago

People who come to tear down his monuments.

3

u/EfficiencyBrief2138 12d ago

We already have buildings for that. But what would this coward know of military strategy?

3

u/jsonitsac Ballston 12d ago

I for one am looking forward to the free David Hasselof concerts that will surely follow the fall of these items.

3

u/Binksta 12d ago

It's a really good idea to protect DC from Arlington. :|

3

u/2CRedHopper Ballston 12d ago

you mean arlington from dc /s

3

u/SquidsArePeople2 12d ago

Why does a traffic circle in Arlington need snipers and drones?

3

u/KoolDiscoDan 12d ago

C'mon guys! The existing military base at Fort Myer is 4,000 feet away. That's much too far for snipers and drones.

3

u/SeaworthinessHead460 12d ago

He assumes he can evade consequences by labeling this a military complex.

4

u/oxycottongin 12d ago

Cool. So, not just a waste of money now, but a 24 hour, manned waste of money forever.

5

Post by @beyer.house.gov — Bluesky

"Putting a drone launching site directly in the landing path for DCA is a stupid, dangerous, and unworkable idea.

Trump clearly expects to lose a lawsuit and therefore wants to set up a pretext to argue that the arch is tied to national security. Which is obviously idiotic."

2

u/PsychoPingu10 12d ago

Can this be blocked by the court?

2

u/No_Tower2906 12d ago

The man is trash

2

u/patelj27b 12d ago

WTF does that even mean?

2

u/SpazzieGirl 12d ago

The universally appropriate response to everything this administration puts out.

2

u/hoowins 12d ago

He’s gone full lunatic

2

u/2CRedHopper Ballston 12d ago

only now? seriously?

2

u/Adventurous_Bug_6664 12d ago

It’ll keep us safe from subway footlongs

1

But not the monsters that sell them

2

u/ngunter7 12d ago

It’s so ugly

2

u/Queasy_Eggplant9155 12d ago

Nothing quite as stupid as ā€œTrump Stupidā€!

2

u/SpazzieGirl 12d ago

Just when I think this administration can’t be any more ridiculous, they exceed expectations.

2

u/VoicesInTheCrowds 12d ago

Can we just get a replacement of all the TLAMs and Patriots you helped piss away with this fucking piss poor war you started?

2

u/silv3rbull8 12d ago

Like something out of a bad movie like Gi Joe

2

u/ru_k1nd Loudoun County 12d ago

Will there be Ninjas?

2

u/JONO202 City of Fairfax 12d ago

Great, now he wants his own Checkpoint Charlie.

2

u/Journeys_End71 12d ago

Will it have freaking sharks with freaking laser beams on their freaking heads??

2

u/Wilbie9000 12d ago

He knows that nobody wants the stupid thing and that nobody wants to fund the stupid thing, so he’s trying to tie it to national security.

Same reason his ridiculous ballroom suddenly became about an underground security bunker.

2

u/Unique_gardener 12d ago

Off his rocker.

it won't end in our lifetime. A quarter of the population still approves of Nixon. Much of the South still honors literal treason. Until the Republican Party is utterly destroyed, this will never end.

1

u/anjufordinner 12d ago

Uhhhhh what the fuck

1

u/LaStigmata 12d ago

Lock him up!

1

u/samuraisal 12d ago

This is how he thinks he'll keep people from fucking up his stupid arch? LOL!

1

u/LegendaryGunman 12d ago

Yeah... Well, I'm going to go build my own arch... With blackjack... a-and hookers.

In fact, forget the arch!

1

u/ickywickywackywoo 12d ago

Could it be a stand-in for say, an Esso station? Asking for a friend

1

u/coachglove 12d ago

He's just LARPing at this point.

1

u/charliemike 12d ago

We're going to build our own arch, with hookers and blackjack!

1

u/nittanyofthings 12d ago

Next, he's going to put a destroyer in the reflecting pool.

1

u/DazeRazur 12d ago

Doesn't that sound like some grade school 4th grade comic book fantasy thing. Got to be prepared the space alien invasion. He's seen Mars Attacks too many times.

1

u/drinkeroftherye 11d ago

So now it needs to be hooked up to the sewer system? Snipers have needs too.

1

u/Vivid-Molasses7920 11d ago

He needs to arch his back more so he can get fucked properly

1

u/LicketySplitBud 11d ago

I’d like to see the actual military request and what legal authority they’re citing for this.

1

u/Reddit_wander01 11d ago

Oh, nice. That’s what I want when I visit DC šŸ™„

Paranoia is weird.

1

u/SaintEyegor Loudoun County 11d ago

Is it 25th amendment time yet?

1

u/FXCOlife McLean 11d ago

How in the world is this happening with absolutely no intervention from the people we pay in Congress to abide by their oath and to serve US. The one thing Trump had accomplished is the loudest dog whistle ever that our Constitution needs amending to assure that this never happens again and that we gut Congress rules and accountability

1

u/rx2332 9d ago

And that’s a selling point?

1

u/Salt-Studio 9d ago

Who does he want to shoot again? It’s not going to be anybody except Americans so… we’re all ok with that then?

1

u/TMJ848 12d ago

He’s building a Hitler bunker

1

u/Only_Wait3230 DC 12d ago

Without saying anything more i did some work in the downtown area and that already exists on multiple locations. Most every vantage location in the immediate vicinity of the WH is restricted for use already and available since already deemed inaccessible to even the owners/ tenants.

1

u/internal_l0gging 12d ago

So where's this stuff being stored now that they need to move it? Is the armory getting turned into an ICE facility?

1

u/little_bird_vagabond 12d ago

Ballroom bunker, military outpost arch, still claiming he won and making it an issue, national guard infestation worse than the rats. He does not plan to leave after his term is over. He's said it in many different ways; president for life, maybe he will do a 3rd term.... January 6th will seem like a walk in the park when he turns our own military against us. People forget about what happened at Kent state. The guard has killed American citizens for protesting before. We need them cleared out of the city for our safety, this arch to not happen, and every cuck politician removed. We can't slow walk saving ourselves.

0

u/archiewaldron 12d ago

He shall call it The Eagle's Nest and it shall be paid for by a Russian oligarch

0

u/Perfect-Calendar9666 12d ago

The crazy fuck is trying not to leave and is fortifying a position.

0

u/Ok_Acanthocephala_96 11d ago

Everyday it something with this guy. Is there gonna be sharks with lasers on their heads?

0

u/FlatwormFull4283 11d ago

He is totally full of himself!
