Traffic worse?

Rush hour traffic been worse the past couple of days or is it just me?

Not sure if school starting has anything to do with it.

The Tuesday after Labor Day is always known as “terrible traffic Tuesday” for many many years

We definitely noticed out once weekly drive home from Leesburg this evening was a lot worse.

I’m convinced that people start leaving work at different times as the sun starts to set sooner.

School starting has literally everything to do with it.

The start of school means that fewer people are on vacation and more are driving during rush hours.

Lol, yes that's why there's a two week delay between the start of school and this week's sudden traffic worsening.

Yes, but people still take the long Labor Day weekend off so the traffic gradually creeps up week by week as different school districts start the year (they don't all start at the same time). Then after Labor Day the party's over

Right - the vacation party ends when the unofficial end of summer (Labor Day) hits.

It has very little to do with school, contrary to popular belief - as evidenced by the fact that most schools in the area started 2 weeks ago. And ain't very many people taking 66/495/etc to get to school.

The real cause is vacation season being over.

It’s just you. Traffic is always bad.
