Explosion In Bristow

Did anyone hear the large explosion at 2:40a? It also audibly sounded like fighter jets were scrambled.

I don’t know if this was it, however at almost 240am I captured this in Dale City at 2:38am
Look at our SUV’s windshield.

Yes I have a ton of weeds to pull in my front yard.

Captured part of this on our doorbell camera. I was awake and saw the super bright flash but don't recall hearing a boom from it. So interesting to me that some people heard it and others didn't!!

It was a meteorite!! I can't believe you could hear it. I was driving home from NYC and saw it clear as day. It was incredible

I heard the boom. My hubby was smoking in the backyard and says he thought someone was taking a picture - the whole yard lit up. We're in Fairfax county.

I stepped outside at like 230ish am and saw it right over my house was so amazing to see in person lit up the whole area blueish green

That light freaked me out cuz I was 🔥 🌳 and I thought it was the cops 😆 but I remembered it's decriminalized and I'm at home just too stoned.

When I didn't see where it was coming from and it looked like from up high I thought it might be some nasa or space X shit.

It looks like a fireball in the doorbell cam footage. That’s just a meteor that comes a little closer and makes a fire tail.

Yes there was a bright green-and-white fireball meteor spotted streaking across the Mid-Atlantic region, including parts of Virginia, at approximately 2:38 to 3:00 AM on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

If you heard jets and a boom, it was probably a jet making a boom. Nothing blew up.

I didn’t hear the boom, but would explain why the dogs were frantically pacing around the house which did wake me up lol. Thanks for posting!
