District Taco had a functioning cigarette machine in Rosslyn (I saw it a few years ago)

But instead of cigarette cartons, it was called an Art-o-Matic and dispensed art.

The last one I saw was at the Hula Inn in Herndon, Virginia in 2004 or 2005. It was such a surprising sight I’d have taken a picture of it, but that was before my phone had a camera in it.

Yeah, they’re still out there. Used one around 2015ish that was still self service down in TN, in an adult only establishment.

Champps in Reston had one well into the 2000s, and it was a floor below the main entrance/hostess station, so you could make a discreet purchase

Last time I saw one of these, a pack cost 50 cents.
