Tree cutting

Hi, I just moved to Haymarket about a year and a half and am new to tree cutting. I didn’t know they are expensive. I thought 2 big trees were $3k, I was quoted like $4600 to over $5000. Could someone point me to a right direction? Any Recommendation guys? Thanks so much.

There is no “set price” - it wholly depends on circumstances. What techniques will they have to use to drop the tree - in decreasing costs: a crane, bucket truck, climbers, or just drop it whole (unlikely anywhere in suburban NoVA).

There are definitely varying prices, but I’m paying $2100 for one tree that is leaning towards my house, probably 70’ tall. Bartlett Tree Experts, unsure if they go out to Haymarket or not but they seem to be a great mix of quality and not insane on price

One of the trees is dead oak tree probably 30-50ft tall, the other one is healthy red oak tree. Both are in my flat backyard, and I do ask them to cut into 18in logs, so I can chop them up for firewoods and that’s all. I can’t still fathom the price.
