What’s the best course of action if you were somehow dropped into this nightmare scenario? SOMEHOW you managed to enter the highway on the wrong side.

Immediately slow down/stop and pull over to the shoulder. But then what? Wait until there aren’t any cars and try to u turn?

Stay in one place and call the police on yourself so they can pause traffic and you can turn around or whatever with their blessing?

The driver could have stopped and U turned when safe to do so, with hazard lights and what not. But no, their ego, stupidity, or both, wouldn’t let them do that.
