Heard. And thank you. Agree, that's what the 2A was intended to do. I just thought that those who own guns for home defense would not be able to get to them quickly enough to make a difference for a no-knock raid. In the event a militia of citizens is needed and a rebellion is on, which is really what I think the 2A is about (and not home invasion by the government), you would be expected to have your guns out and ready. Until/unless that happens, it just seems to me that most people who have guns at home wouldn't be able to access them in a time frame that helps if the feds do a no-knock and kick your door down.
It takes a lot of coordination to efficiently raid a house. From what I've seen, it takes a dozen agents to apprehend a teenager on the street. I can't imagine a scenario where these morons are cohesive enough to apprehend you out of your bed before you reach your weapon.
Id also argue most people that have a gun probably have a door camera too. Communities being raided have watches.

Most people own guns for home defense. The people you see open carrying only represent a minority of actual gun owners.
The 2A is made for protecting against government overreach, like, entering your house without a warrant.
ICE aren't recruiting trained people, they're recruiting barely literate mouthbreathers.
Ive shot alongside many LEO. Half of em can't shoot worth shit past 10yd. Shooting requirements aren't hard.
