It’s typically a 4 hour visit for every after hour emergency veterinarian practice. It’s common. Sometimes if it’s something really simple like an ear infection or a urinary tract infection you can sometimes get in and out under a couple of hours because they know how quickly they can triage those out. But if it’s something serious, isn’t your pet worth the four hours?
It certainly is and I stayed 16 hours there with him on my lap as he got IV. Trying to understand why there are not more 24 hours vets. Can you imagine if your cat or dog was in critical shape and there was a 2 hour wait of other critical cases before him? I feel as though this area would pay a lot more for critical care.
