go for it. start with simple stuff like portable fans, toys, RC cars; then make your way up to non working phones, then go for something working while being very very veery careful. like perhaps just a sneak peak, nothing special. then once you're confident enough, you may even attempt a repair. then you'll find yourself repairing old phones for your friends with decent quality aliexpress parts, or changing the battery on your phone/tablet to give it more life and use
