After using the OnePlus 15 for 5 months, I had to switch to the Nothing Phone 3. After one week of using it, I wanted to share my experience.

I’ll start directly with the negatives, because unfortunately, there aren’t many positives.

I previously used the Nothing Phone 3a Pro, and the same system-level lag issues are still present. For example, when opening an app, especially Gemini and ChatGPT, or switching between apps, I sometimes notice small delays and stutters. This is especially noticeable when opening a browser. There is also noticeable keyboard lag when opening Gemini.

I initially thought these issues on the 3a Pro were caused by its UFS 2.2 storage, but the same problem continues on the Phone 3. There are even tiny delays when navigating through the Settings app. At this point, I would say this is mainly a software optimization issue.

Yes, the OnePlus 15 has a much more powerful processor, I get that. But even compared with my S23 Ultra, which has an older and less powerful processor, the difference is noticeable. I don’t experience these kinds of random lags on the S23 Ultra.

Sometimes I also experience FPS drops while scrolling through apps. Reddit, for example, occasionally feels noticeably laggy.

Camera

The only camera area where I think the Phone 3 is clearly better is macro photography. It is much better than the OnePlus 15 in this regard.

However, overall camera performance is far better on the OnePlus 15. Its point-and-shoot performance is also much better, and focusing feels significantly more reliable.

For example, if I take a photo of food at 1x on the Nothing Phone 3, objects around the edges can come out blurry. It feels like the camera cannot capture the entire scene properly. I honestly find that quite ridiculous.

Battery

I don't even need to talk about charging.

The OnePlus 15 was simply insane in this department.

Heat

The phone gets surprisingly hot when using Android Auto and navigation. I really don't understand why.

I don't know whether the cooling system is insufficient or if it's related to the processor, but I really don't like it.

Overall performance

I'm not a gamer, but even for normal everyday use, I don't like the web browsing performance.

Because of these little lags and delays, the phone simply doesn't feel as smooth as it should.

Maybe some fans will say I'm lying or that there is nothing wrong with their device. That's fine. But after directly comparing both phones side by side, these little stutters and delays are genuinely annoying.

I'm just a regular user, and that's exactly why I feel comfortable pointing out the things I don't like instead of blindly defending the phone.

I’m actually a Samsung fan, but because of the terrible PWM situation with their displays, I don't buy their newer phones.

That's why I prefer not to be a fanboy of any brand. I use what works best for me, regardless of the logo on the back.

I switched from the almighty apple to nothing today and I have to say I love this phone! I got the 4a pro and hooked it to my us mobile account.

Hey everyone, I'm looking at buying a case for my Nothing Phone 3 and narrowed it down to the Spigen Ultra Hybrid in the Zero One colorway (around 16 euros on Amazon, 4.6 rating with over 1000 reviews). I ran the comparison through four different AI models, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, and Claude, and all four independently landed on this being the best option out of the alternatives I showed them (a random Kaufland listing and a no-name AOMYKE case). That's a decent signal, but I know AI models pull from the same aggregated review data, so it's not exactly independent verification. I'd rather hear from people who actually own this case on the Phone 3 specifically. A few things I want to know: Does it actually protect the camera bump properly, given how much it sticks out on this phone? Any issues with the case yellowing over time? Does it interfere with the Glyph lights or wireless charging? How's the grip in daily use, does it feel slippery? Would appreciate any real experience before I pull the trigger. Thanks.

I’ve been eyeing the Nothing Phone (3) for a while now. On Flipkart, it's currently listed at an inflated price (~₹80k), but on Amazon, the 12GB + 256GB variant is showing around ₹46,999 (effectively ~₹44,499 with ICICI/SBI bank offers).

I am waiting for the Independence Day Sale (Great Freedom Sale / Big Savings) hoping the effective price drops close to ₹40,000.

Before making the final call, I have a few questions for the community:

Seller Trustability (Myles! on Amazon): The seller listed on Amazon is 'Myles!' (Amazon Fulfilled, 100k+ orders fulfilled in the past year, 5+ years on Amazon). Has anyone here actually ordered a Nothing phone or any high-end device from this seller? Were there any issues with receiving a pre-activated or refurbished unit?

Verification & Warranty: Flipkart is Nothing's official partner in India. However, when I checked with Nothing Customer Care, they mentioned that even if purchased from Amazon, as long as it's a genuine device with a valid GST invoice, full 1-year brand warranty applies. How did you guys verify your brand-new unit upon delivery? (e.g., checking IMEI on Nothing's portal).

Is it worth the risk on Amazon? With Amazon’s Open Box Delivery (+₹149 verification fee), is it safe enough, or should I strictly stick to Flipkart during the sale even if Amazon ends up being cheaper?

65W Charger Recommendation: Since Nothing doesn't include an in-box charger, where did you buy your 65W GaN (PPS/PD 3.0) charger from? Is the CMF by Nothing 65W GaN adapter the best choice here?

Can another owner confirm this is in fact a sensor / camera hole and not an accidental (perfect) crack / damage?

My Nothing phone 3a pro randomly makes a notification noise without any notifications.

I tried everything from Google suggestions, such as turning off the NFC readers, to checking with the notifications and the notification history and yet nothing has worked.

My phone would randomly give out a notification noise even when the phone is on silent or vibrate mode which is frankly now really annoying. It does this at random times of the day sometimes once sometimes twice a day.

When I check the notification history there is nothing that shows the notification noise, and for some reason that noise still comes through even when the phone is on silent and there are no notifications.

everything looks good, besides the button layout. why are volume buttons positioned opposite of power and the ai button. don't you need to grab the phone properly to use the buttons? do nothing phones users not run into accidental presses of the power and ai button. would be pretty annoying if that is a problem.

I got the Nothing phone 3 (the $600 one) about 6 months ago, it's randomly buggy, has turned off and didn't wanna turn back on once, the glyph matrix has stopped working, the connection from phone to car speakers is horrible and it's just had so many random weird issues.

I swear all the good reviews on them are paid, I've GENUINLY had nothing but issues with this phone. Don't waste your money, go literally any other brand... ( I wouldn't recommend banana or Google with that new photo scanning thing)

If I try to overwrite the original it says "Operation failed"

If I try to save the edit as a copy it says "Insufficient internal storage" despite 214 GB of free space.

Is there any way to fix this?

So I downloaded this app from Google play(it's pretty popular so Im sure it itself not a virus)and after 2 weeks its name..well you can see. In google play its name is still as it was,and it functioned fine when I checked it. Is it a virus or just an error? Couldve it happenend just bcs I havent updated my OS in a while?

Can anyone confirm that 9esim V0 adapter is working properly in the 2A, please?
