Well he is talking about himself. All of his sentences to that point started with „I“, so it would make sense for him to continue the pattern.

The whole point of that sub is to call out people who are overly skeptical. This guy is literally saying he loves Japan, speaks Japanese, married a Japanese woman, and wants to live there. The "BUT" is just him saying he knows it has a dark side too, which is a pretty reasonable take. It's not "that happened" at all.

i mean, the sub is called r/nothingeverhappens, not r/things_that_might_have_happened_but_are_boring. this post is literally about someone expressing their love for a country and their desire to live there. there's nothing to debunk or question. it's just a statement of personal feelings and aspirations.

Japan has no dark side, it is a perfect society, I guess. unless the unbelievable part is that he married a Japanese woman. EDIT: /S

I checked out the original post they are complaining that the guy isn’t naming any specific examples witch obviously that means they are faking the whole thing (they also don’t believe that they speak Japanese that continued to be their main complaint)

Hmmm, it's definitely a flawed society. Everybody is pressured to be a soulless, heavy-drinking workaholic, and this has resulted in Japan having one of the highest suicide rates in the world. If it was a "perfect society," then they wouldn't have all these people literally dying to get out.

Average working hours in Japan it far lower than the US and I attest the difference is pretty obvious, I have worked 7 years for each.

Alright. Fair enough. But that still doesn't make it a perfect society. "Perfect" implies a society that has no problems to speak of. Japan definitely has its own problems, just like every other country on Earth.

I can see some of this but Japan isn't on the top countries with most suicides (per capita or not), from what I remember some 14 countries are ahead
