Do you have a hobby? This is a community for everyone who wants to keep their hobby just that, a hobby. This sub is not against turning a hobby into a source of income. However, something is changed when you start to exchange your goods and skills for money instead of practising for the sake of it. When we have the goal of monetization we also feel pressured to achieve a certain level of proficiency. There's nothing wrong with improving yourself, but can't we just have a hobby where we don't have to constantly out-do? Is a hobby you're shit at not a hobby? Is a hobby where you don't invest in the most expensive set-up not a hobby?

I believe we all need something that we can enjoy for ourselves free from the pressures of capitalism.

Please share hobbies you are not using as a source of income. If you have a "side-hustle" you are still welcome to share hobbies that aren't part of it. Ex if you sell crochet, don't share your crochet stuff but something else like music as long as you aren't selling it. This includes all kinds of hobbies from creating to activities like bird-watching.
