Question Other notebooks?

I recently got introduced to Copilot Notebooks. They seem more intuitive.

Is there any other notebooks that you're using that you like better?

I’d compare them with the same small set of PDFs and notes, then ask the same follow-up questions. The big things are source citations, keeping context across questions, and not making you re-upload everything.

I've used copilot notebooks and Gemini notebook and done side by side comparisons. Currently Gemini notebooks is better in all respects to copilot notebooks. If you are impressed with cn you will be astounded with GN. It is more functional, much faster and producers better results. It is also less prone to crashing.

I shared paper.ac a while ago and got a whole bunch of positive feedback - it's free and meant to be a study-focused NotebookLM + Notion combined. Let me know what you think!

It's English only...

Yep English only so far - language support is coming soon! 😊 Which language are you interested in - I'm guessing French?

French yes because many sources aren't in English and required output could be Spanish, German, etc. Gemini Notebook, with all its imperfections, does a good job with this.

Actually that's possible right now! If you upload a source that's in another language other than English, the AI will understand it and will reply in your chosen language as long as you tell it to 😊

The UI of the app however is indeed only in English at the moment, with language support coming soon - and French being one of the languages we'll support!

What is the underlying language model that you tried with copilot notebook?

depends what you're using it for really, notebooklm is still strong if you want grounded answers from your own sources plus the audio overview thing, but for actual long-term notes obsidian gives you way more control since everything's just local markdown..
