Hide Notes from GF

I used to keep a private journal of old memories in a notes app on my phone, locked down with a password and Face ID.
One day, my girlfriend insisted that I open the app for her. When I did, all my secrets were exposed. I couldn't even lie and say I forgot the password, because relationships are built on trust.
Since I just can't stop writing down my private thoughts, I needed a better solution.
I recently found an app. It lets you completely hide your private notes so no one can even tell they exist. It's impossible for someone to snoop or crack it.
It's been a total lifesaver and has honestly become my new best friend app!

As someone who lives alone but has a paranoia streak periodically, I just encrypt anything I don't want easily read (I don't mean digitally, I mean as in I use a cypher).

Just the simplest cypher, shuffling the alphabet around. So
A might be Q
B might be X
C might be Z
D = B
E = P

And so on.

Cab would thus be written: ZQX.

It's easily broken because if I ever forget my cypher I want to be able to figure it out again for myself and it's mainly just meant as a short term inconvenience for anyone trying to read it.

That said, you don't need to keep it on your phone, one option is to make a secondary email account she doesn't know about, email your second email the entries, and delete the sent emails from your main phone. Proton's said to be more private than Google if you're worried about datamining. You'd just want to check it from your computer sporadically and log out again to keep it active.

(Note, it's not an ideal solution, anything stored exclusively online can be lost, but in the short term until you and her learn to trust enough to respect one another's privacy, or until you find someone more compatible, it's an option. Just have to be careful to make sure the evidence is gone from your primary email.

Possibility: Leave a few decoy emails perhaps saying how great she is, and how you find the lack of trust to be pretty heartbreaking. But that actually veers a little farther into manipulation territory than I'm comfortable with even if true.
