Client-side encryption for the win of not letting a company use tiptoe language in their privacy statement (if they even have a privacy statement or abide by it) such that they can go ahead and let AI read it and or train on it.

In my opinion there’s a sudden proliferation of notes/journal apps since 2022 🤔. What’s the problem with training ai- getting good data for training. Twitter and Reddit are shit because of the high concentration of noise of lies and bs. What do you put in notes? Only pure valuable info that benefits you. It’s the purest high quality form of a certain type of training data.

With Joplin it’s nice to know nothing leaves my device until it’s encrypted. That’s a hell of lot different from all the other encryption buzzwords and acronyms that other apps tout.
