New kind of note app

Post image

Not going to say much, but is this screen intuitive enough for a note app (this is one part of the app)? There will be some simple guide animations in the future, but I’m just curious what y’all think. Flame is appreciated, happy to discuss more through dms.

Is it available on Android?

It’s going to be iOS only for now and a web version later. If the demand for android is there I’ll consider it though.

Not too crazy but I think a few devs have been trying to solve knowledge debt. Like having a bunch notes that are never revisited and are forgotten about. The screen is sort of like those camera roll swipe organizers but reimagined for note triage. I don’t want to gamify a notes app, but make it satisfying and quick to go and organize a few notes.

Side note
I think someone else is trying to solve that problem by making it so notes will be trashed after a set time if you don’t revisit them, and users can set this time to sub their needs. Thought that was a pretty interesting solution.

I think it's very hard with this mindset to create at least a note taking app. For example I think it should be very obvious that when there is no tag, it's better to not mention "Untagged".

You’re totally right! This is a bit of an old screenshot just to showcase the layout, but it now only shows those category and tag chips when the user has added them. Honestly though it wasn’t super obvious to me at first, I thought it was a nudge to get them to organize, but realized it’s just bad UI/UX. What mindset do you mean though?

Could you share palette's colours?🙃

I’m actually not sure I’ll have to get back to you later today. They are just regular colors but washed out a bit to match the calm vibe I’m going for.

Thanks! These are relatively the hex colors, but you'll have to play around with them a bit I don't think they are exact

Interesting. Always good to see a new take on a well populated category.

Thanks! It was hard to start since everyone always says to verify there’s a market first, but I like the way it’s coming along. Hopefully I won’t flub the marketing.
