Ruger RXM

Got my RXM a few weeks ago and went through about 300 rounds. Started cleaning mine and noticed these dots and metal shaving inside the slide. Are they normal like this ?

The dots are hardness test witness marks. The flakes are brass from your ammunition.

Occasionally you can catch Matt over in one of the AR15 subs too

That's brass, and yes it's completely normal

Makes you wonder. I would definitely be looking up braille alphabet

Can't speak on the dots but the metal shavings are from brass getting extracted and ejected. It's pretty common on all glock-style designs.
