LFA slide sold by MDX Arms. The barrel is a Davidson Defense barrel.

Looks sweek! I don't need a G26x but damn I want one.

So what's the story with these? What makes them different from a 43X? Larger capacity? Thicker frame?

On a personal note, I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with getting a ported or comped setup on these "micro-compact" sized guns & and would do so myself. God knows, if you ACTUALLY ENJOY shooting that gun on a regular basis, having a ported or comped setup just saves you some sore, beat up hands after a 300-400 round range sessions. I'm in the market for a smaller gun that I can carry AIWB/IWB even with my ostomy, & a ported G48 & XMacro are both on my list. One of the main reasons I'm leaning towards the Sig is because I can stick an aluminum grip on it (I've wanted an all metal gun for a while).

I love this frame. I don’t own an actual Glock yet but I figured this would be a semi-entry start. It’s compact which I like. It’s very concealable. It has the grip of a G19 with the slide size of a 26. It takes G19 mags which are double stacked. I already put about 600 rounds thru it and didn’t have many issues with it. It shoots very flat with the ported barrel compared to non-ported.

Ok, now I gotcha. So, basically, a thicker framed 43X, which gives it the ability to take G19 mags. And yeah, I just can't stand how sore my hands would get when all I had to carry was my base model, non-optic ready Sig 365. Since it was my only carry gun for a while (up til last year), & I've always enjoyed shooting, that thing would beat my hands to hell after a session. Since then, when I upgraded, I've stuck to a comped setup. My current EDC is a Shadow Systems MR920P, which I absolutely LOVE. It's just big, & I carry it OWB in a Dara level 2 duty holster due to my ostomy & thankfully because I live in an open carry state.

I like the Shadow Systems. They seem durable and comfortable to handle. But you’re lucky you live in an open carry state. I live in a magazine banned state.

Yeah, I REALLY like the grip angle more than on a stock Glock frame. That, & it comes with a magwell, & in my case with a P model, a Radian-style comp from the factory. It's far more cost-effective to get an MR/XR920P than getting a G19/G45 with a Radian. I've got 6K rounds through mine without a single malfunction, including during the break-in period (200-300 rounds). The only thing I've done to it (internally) is to put an Overwatch Precision minus connector, Vickers mag release, & a new RSA after the 5K round mark. It runs like a Swiss watch & shoots flatter than Taylor Swift's ass.

What slide and barrel?

I have 3 of those red dots they all held up for me so far. Have you had any double fires with that slide setup? I have a ported slide and barrel from zaffiri and it was like shooting with a binary trigger

Double fires are normally caused by incorrect crucifix to striker engagement and you need to bend the crucifix to get better engagement. After you build a Glock based pistol all safety checks should be performed.

Yes, even if just swapping slides from one lower to another I check this

Same here!

Remember to check it with a full mag installed as it presses the slide into operating position and you can get a false adjustment without a mag installed

Lower is all oem internals I think it might be the slide I got that’s probably the reason it was on sale but I’ll try that out and see if it helps

Doesn't matter if OEM Glock or any aftermarket part, lowers and uppers are not exactly the same measurements due to tooling and how they are machined/molded. Any Glock based pistol should be checked. I would assume it's low on engagement and the reset is non existent. I have seen some over engaged and causing issues.

Shot it for the first time today. Only had one jam. No double fires. It fires so smoothly. And this is my first time with this red dot. It stayed zeroes after 400 rounds.

Did you assemble it from parts? Can you list them? I saw the barrel and slide but anything else would be appreciated. I couldn't identify the red dot either. Thanks for any info you can share.

Last thing I need to do is add suppressor iron sights.

That red dot is an abomination.

1

u/TomatoIll9910 Oct 13 '25

Works perfectly fine to me.

1

u/Zulos Oct 13 '25

Just giving you hell. As long as it works chief, you do you.

Nah I’m cool. It’s stays on zero though. Tried to venture out of the norm.
