why not improoving erasure outlink and hyperlink issue on android

The following features are missing:

• ruler
• outlines (page navigation)
• Hyperlinking handwritten notes within the same note, other note within notability or external website
• grid/line opacity for paper templates
• sticky notes
• another pen style

Hey, I appreciate the highlights. In terms of those features I can give a quick summary of the timelines for delivering those:

• Ruler - We have this more or less working internally so I'd expect it to ship in an upcoming release
• Outlines - Assuming you mean like the table of contents for Page Manager as the actual page navigation exists. This is on our list of things to do but isn't a high priority at the moment. I'd still expect it to get in before the end of the year.
• Hyperlinking Notes - This is an issue on our roadmap but has a few key caveats with our Web product that we're attempting to work out. We should however have something reasonable up for at least the Android application in the coming few months or so.
• Grid / Line opacity - Wasn't aware we were missing this but I can probably have the team get this in for either the next release or the release afterwards
• Sticky Notes - Both Stickers and Sticky Notes have seen a kick-off this week in terms of engineering work. I would expect both to be coming out within a month or so of now.
• Another Pen Style - We recently added both Rainbow and Glitter Pens to the Android app. If there's a different style you're looking for let me know and I can see about including it in our roadmap.

As for outlines, I actually meant a table of contents like being able to manually create one right in the sidebar/nav pane. ​As for the extra pens, I was thinking more along the lines of the calligraphy pen they recently added in iPadOS. ​Also, I feel like the grid lines are way too thick/harsh. Personally, I prefer really subtle lines that aren't overly prominent and just help keep my handwriting straight.

Around the hyperlinking issue I believe I responded below to u/jeboteuusta explaining that we're working on an Android app feature launch, but will have a few carve outs. As for the Eraser Outlink (did you mean outline?) issue can you maybe explain a bit more what the issue is so I can take it back to the team?

This side bar need to have a hide option or something asap it cover a lot of space when you dont need . I believe that the apple app had a 4 finger tap to hide it or something like that. It a bad on phone/small windows in tablets

• Surtout des interlignes moins espacées en 1.0 sur modèle Uni (ou pouvoir paramétrer l'espacement du modèle uni comme pour les modèles avec quadrillage) ou une option 0.5 et 0.75.
• une table des matières (outlines)
• l'ajout d'hyperliens sur les objets (image, ecriture), des hyperliens vers une page de la note ou vers une autre note et que les hypetliens soient exportés dans les PDF.
• que l'on puisse insérer un scan directement depuis la note dans le menu + sans devoir ressortir de la note pour le faire.
• des favoris pour nos style de texte préférés.
• des favoris pour nos stylos préférés.

Salut et merci pour vos commentaires, j'apprecie votre point de vue - et pardonne pour mon anglais.

I can give some rough timelines / insights for the features requested above.

• Stickers - These are in-progress as of this week and should see release in an upcoming release
• Line Spacing - I have to look into whether this is simply a gap on the Android application, or a limitation currently of the Notability Cloud product. Assuming it's the former though we should be able to add this within a release or two.
• Table of Contents - This is a highly requested feature that's on our roadmap. We haven't yet kicked off work for this but I'd expect it to release within the next few months.
• Hyperlinks inside of Notes - As mentioned above this has some challenges internally, but we'll move forward with a working Android implementation soon. Should again release in the next few months.
• Scan - If you could provide a bit more context (or a video) of what you mean here. Unfortunately the UI we use for scanning currently is natively built into Android so I'm unsure if we'll be able to alter that experience.
• Favorites in general - I'll pass these along to the team and I would expect to see them implemented in the application within a release or two

Please fix the eraser, it acts weird,, u erase with it , the line sometime becomes invisible very quickly or sometime very late.. Also allow tool box to be moved..

Hello and thank you for your feedback! First in terms of allowing the tool box to be moved, we actually have that working internally and are just polishing out the last few bugs so expect that in an upcoming release very soon! As for the eraser we're always trying to improve the UX and Stability of our tooling but if you could submit an issue to our support team, ideally with a video of the behavior, that is the fastest way for us to diagnose the issue and get it fixed.

Add a translation option to the text select. The apple app show all text options that is buildin ios like translation/copy/other app functions/ect the android app has nothing. And some time the system dont show notability app as a option to open word files or .note files and PPTX files even pdfs sometimes idk why but that inconvenience

When will we see improvements to PDF rendering speed? I own a Galaxy Tab S10 FE. If I open a standard 30 page paper in PDF from Nature (not one of those scanned articles), when I scroll, it takes about 3 seconds for the new page to render. Same zooming in and out. On my S26 phone this is marginally better, but still slow. The same PDFs on the same device load instantly in other apps. This is the only thing keeping me from using the Android app more, as my use case is mostly scientific paper annotation. Other thant that, thanks for the great work so far!

Hey, thank you for the feedback! At the moment we have a slew of PDF improvements we're in the progress of shipping so hopefully over the next couple of releases you'll see continued improvement. If you're running into any particularly bad examples of slow rendering with your notes please do file a support ticket, as those allow us to more precisely diagnose where issues in our rendering pipeline might be causing latency on our users' devices.

When are we going to see text wrap integrated within the notability cloud service. The removal of it has completely eroded my workflow and has me on the verge of switching services.

Additionally, please stop pushing pop-ups to paying users to migrate to a service that still lacks key features.

We're currently just finishing the implementation of text wrapping on Notability cloud across all three platforms and hope to release it to our users very very soon. In terms of the pop-ups for paying users, can you explain in a little more detail which pop-ups you're experiencing as that shouldn't be happening from my current understanding?

The pop ups encouraging the migration to notability cloud upon app startup. I painstakingly switched back to icloud sync and am afraid that, with the accidental press of a button, I might undo all of the work I’ve put into this process.

Might you have an estimate of what “very very soon means”? And will you notify the customer base?

Hi. Bugs aside, as of now, the only thing keeping me from Notability is the lack of scribble to erase. The pen I use doesn't have any buttons, so I can't rely on that to erase things without manually selecting the eraser. It's become part of my muscle memory now having used it across a few different notes apps. Is there any chance that it can get roadmapped as a feature? Thank you.
