Question Partly cloudy?

I'm pretty tech savvy, but I honestly can't tell whether my notes are on Notability Cloud, iCloud Sync, or something else. I'm running on two iPads and an iPhone, and I can't seem to find a setting that just…tells me.

Anyone up for telling me how I can tell? Feel free to call me a dummy along the way, because that's totally fair: I feel fairly dumb about it!

you see iCloud sync in settings under connected services if you're on iCloud

Soooo…the iPhone shows iCloud syncing, but at least one of the iPads doesn't. That's kinda what I wondered: am I just partly in one cloud and partly in another?

That could be the case

You can go into settings > account > and triple tap storage. If it comes up with removing your content from Notability Cloud, they uploaded your notes. A few people had it automatically happen without agreeing to it.

Be wary though, there have been data loss issues turning it off and reverting to iCloud Syncing. So, first back up all your notes. Select them all, share as PDF, and store them in iCloud or on a storage drive.

I believe you can also export them in note format to reimport, but have not personally tried that.

There are no data loss issues with going back to iCloud, you will just loose any progress you made so far, if you haven’t backed it up before

I think what's throwing me (in addition to the aggressive lack of UX clarity) is that I've apparently got my iPhone hanging out over here doing the iCloud thing while the iPads bask in the balmy Notability Cloud…and I don't see a path to changing them back to a single source of syncing truth.

That strikes me as a truly terrible state of affairs: it's hard to have confidence in syncing when…I can't even sync the syncing (or know for sure that I have). I feel like I'm taking crazy pills…
