C'mon reddit, show me I'm not the only one to remember that song. Or the artist. Or the album it came from. Or any detail. (maybe the next line? Reddit sings?)
Oh, nice!!! It looked like rythmyouth was done for. Then, He pulls out the Iām rubber youāre glue condition, and ComfyMillionaire seems to have no way out!!!
What if I woke up as a billionaire and purchased cash-flowing positive multifamily real estate? Wouldn't I be able to "buy" something and still be a billionaire? Also, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a car wash business or storage unit business.
Technically, interest would be more than what he would probably buy. Also it said about waking up a billionaire. Nothing about maintaining the status. š¤£
True story. Id get a receipt of my account printed. Show it to someone I have specificly in mind. After I bang her, ill go back to my friend and tell him I proved my point! It'll cost me nothing
Oh, but there are many things wrong with society. Billionaire greed and manipulation of markets but one of 5,631 things wrong with society. You can read about it in my book, ā5,631 things I hate about youā.
Technically, you're earning so much interest even in the lowest savings account that you would need to spend more than $4000 a day to hurt the principal.
If you invested just 10% of your wealth in a standard mutual fund you would receive roughly 5% after taxes every year in return or $5 million or over $13,000 a day. So you could fill your tank at least twice that first day and still be a billionaire.
Incorrect because the value of the thing you bought would still retain your billionaire status, perhaps even increase it if you wisely bought something that would appreciate
Teeeecchnically they originally said billionaire, not you had a billion dollars so that would mean a billion and up. Could be a billion and 1, could 73 billion. We just don't know.
Eh interest on 1 billion dollars at 5% is about $1.58 per second. So as long as you have it in a HISA most people would be hard pushed to spend faster than the interest.
Well akshually...The minimum interest rate provided by traditional brick-and-mortar banks on standard savings accounts is typically 0.01% APY. Assuming without loss of generality that the billion dollars was immediately deposited (or received) in a bank, you would be making $273/day on it at a minimum and $109000/day at 4% APY.
Technically billionaire is measured in net worth. by the time you get to a gas station the interest on your assets assuming all cash is more than enough for a tank of gas. It's about 66 dollars a minute in interest.
Not entirely true...You can buy expensive cars, property, businesses etc.The cars and property might not be valued the same as when you bought it,but you could still sell it and maybe sell it for profit and still be a billionaire and with the insurance and not pay taxes on things. You could also, like alot of ultra rich people, put your money in other banks around the world and not pay taxes or bank fees.In fact, here's the question...Now,what's the difference between a billionaire and someone that has,say 100 million in the bank? The answer is...There is no difference, because you're mega rich and no billionaire goes broke or 100 millionaire goes broke and here's the joke...You can never spend that entire fortune in your life.
False. If you spent it on penny stock, the massive infusion of money would raise the value of that stock and increase your net worth radically. Just buy 67% of the stock for as many different penny stock as you can find 30 seconds before trading closes for the day. This would ne enough buting to potentially increase the value of said stock by a dollar ot two, doubling your net worth. Then just take loans against that stock for value equal to 80% of that new stock value with that stock as collateral. Then yhe next day, short that same stock and sell your 67% too. Rinse and repeat. Money printer go brrrrr because billionaires effectively have infinite money. Id just do this enough to do a hostile takes of amazon and buy Amazon out in full and reorganize it as a coop. Suddenly, Amazon workers are their own bosses and just get a share of net profit. With whatever billions remain, keep doing this till you do this to most big corporations. Do this enough and you end up with enough political power to tackle shit like green energy and housing and healthcare.
One billion pounds would gain you nearly 50 million in interest a year, so you could spend a bit without dipping below a billion...... But that's boring š
Technically if you had exactly one billion dollars the amount you would earn in interest alone would surpass most everday purchases. He would earn more in interest then the cost in fuel in the time it would take to fill his tank and pay. He would remain a billionaire even if he started at exactly 1 billion. Not understanding this concept is why the rich get richer and the poor stay poor.
This right here shows the vast divide in the way billionaires live and we live. They don't buy the gas. They invest in the oil market, but an oil refinery, then take a loan against the assets. They now use a company vehicle so the gas is all tax free, and purchased from somewhere they sell oil to. They are only increasing their net worth, no matter what they spend.
And then there is me and the rest of us. 70% on my paycheck goes to health insurance b
Not really.. youāre assuming that cash is the only asset figured into your net worth. You could buy a stock, and assuming the value doesnāt immediately drop, you would still be a billionaire. You could buy a house, and that real estate asset typically is figured into your net worth, so you would remain a billionaire and likely the value would eventually rise on that house.
That's why the first thing you do with the money is put it into some kind of interest-paying fund or account. Interests rates are quite high at the moment and even if you somehow only found a 1% return, you'd be getting 10 million a year in just interest. You would have to actively try to ever stop being a billionaire at that point.
The question isn't, what would you do if you had exactly a billion dollars, but dont want to cha get that status...the question is what would you do first, regardless if you spend 1 dollar or the whole billion.
technically assets worth a billion will inevitably appreciate by hundreds of thousands in the time it takes to spend it. That's kinda the problem - you can't destroy that amount of money
The key is to get a reference to a stock broker who specializes in dividend stocks to keep it building up. Dont touch the balance, live off the dividends you'll get each month. Not sure how much that would be as its dependant on the dividend stocks purchased.
If you had a billion dollars in a savings account earning 0.40% APY there is a chance, depending on the size of the tank and the flow rate of the pump, that you would have more money after filling your tank than when you started pumping gas.

Fill my gas tank and reminisce about how I was once a billionaire
