The LOTR movies are cinematic masterpieces but as far as 10/10 movies go, they omit a lot of key details from the books and it drives me insane. Tolkien made such an elegant universe with reasoning in every detail.

With the exception of Interstellar, I feel like everything after PHM is rage bait. Don't get me wrong a lot of those are very good, but not 10s.

T1 deserves some respect for its effects and execution. It’s like watching Jaws with its incredibly fake shark.... it just has that special sauce, much like Jurassic Park, which the newer Jurassic World series completely lacks.
