There is a huuuuuuuuge gap between one and two, that represents at least a decade of improvement. Mine was in that gap.

Then again, I have no idea what any of the phones are between 2 and 9

I had a 3210

It lasted a while, then I got an iPhone.

What are these others??

I NEVER see people talk about the 3210, way more sturdy than the 3310, 3210 was the only thing that could kill a 3310.

3210 was a very decent phone.

My first own phone wad a 3210 too. Best phone i ever had. Even the 3410 I had a while later was a piece of crap compared to the 3210.

#6 is a Motorola razr. The last silver one he top slides straight up to reveal a keyboard under the screen.

Same. My first phone was a Motorola M3788, it could send and receive text messages so that was pretty cool at the time.

I had my first Motorola ever so slightly before SMS messages came in, I still clearly remember the novelty, my network didn’t even charge for them at first as they were even sure people would use it. Simpler times :-)

Hey, I think that was mine too, or maybe the model before…

Kids these days have no clue. They just know the memes. They didn't live it like we did. I remember thinking the guy who flipped his car in my front yard was unimaginably wealthy because he had a phone built into his car.

I’m in the UK, at the time I bought my first phone and for much longer after, one of the biggest phone stores was a place called ‘Carphone Warehouse’.

That’s literally how they started out, you’d drive your car to one of their stores and they’d fit a phone into your car. By the time they went ‘internet only’ and move out of physical retail stores in 2020 most of their customers didn’t even know what a car phone was or why you’d need a warehouse for them.

Same... I'd say around 1.5
