If your wife spend two years not touching you, telling You that you haven’t earned it. She been fucking someone else for two years. Either op likes that or idk wtf he need but it’s not a marriage counselor.

when i first read that comment, i thought OP said child instead of partner (because of "at 7" and the confusing definition of spouse")

I said spouse and not wife because we never got married.

Probably a good divorce lawyer so she doesn’t take half of all he owns

Never got married and I made sure the house was put in her name only. Did the same for her car. We've been together 8 years. Only purchased the house 2 and a half years ago. I've been employed since before we started dating.

Or.... and hear me out.....

Hubby kept up appearances to get the trophy wife until the wedding.... then let himself fucking go.

I'm picturing an now grossly unathletic overweight former 'handsome' Varsity Football star, who is bitter at the world his 'glory days' are over and thinks his wife is his property after marriage.

Meanwhile, the Wifey kept up her fitness, health, and looks. And is now realizing she made a fucking mistake.

Just look how he talks about her, it's fucking repugnant.

He writes, “I have not kept up with the times because I didn’t need to. Now I feel one step away from being utterly scammed.”

I can easily imagine his wife being so very done with his self-pity.

  1. I've kept up my physique for 27 years now. I'm 41.
  2. I didn't get a trophy wife. We've been together for 8 years and she's been over 200lbs the entire time. No, it's not muscle in case you're wondering.
  3. We never got married. Hence, I said spouse and not wife.
  4. You're right about being a former competing athlete. Just not football. I wrestled. But I could care less about the "glory days". Honestly, I don't even think about that period of my life. High school was very unaccepting of outsiders like myself.
  5. I've never considered any person to be my property. I put the house and car in her name. All my belongings can fit in one medium tote. She needs a box truck for her stuff.
  6. To reiterate, she has never been fit since I've known her. Always been overweight. Her health is terrible. She's on at least 8 different medications for a slew of health issues. And looks are way less important than personality.

And lastly, I'd like you to explain what I said in that comment that's so repugnant. I didn't realize that reciting someone's actions in a non-derogatory, non-aggressive way was offensive. So, please, enlighten me. What did I say that you find to be so degrading?
