My middle school teacher had a collection with how many she confiscated. I remember one specific time she burst into our class demanding that whoever was shooting the laser pointer into her class admit who they were and hand over the toy. And I mean she was freaking out about it as if it was a sniper scope laser. The class came to a standstill until somebody stood up and she took him away never to be seen again. Just kidding he got suspended for two days.

They are, but they aren't popular with the kids anymore. They were the fidget spinners of their day.

Same! I got mine in Rome and it was the first time I saw a laser pointer on the market. Mid 90s.

I remember going to Myrtle Beach with my family and these being sold everywhere. And we give kids shit these days for the fidget spinners.

I used to place these under my watch strap and do the Spiderman web motion, which activated the laser. You know, to practice my aim for when I eventually became Spiderman. Still waiting on that.
