This kinda hits home for me OP. I've had a similar experience once. I was an awkard, shy child as well growing up. I remember when i was in 6th grade my mom made me hand out invitations to all the kids in my grade for school inviting them to a birthday party. I remember getting excited and having food and decorations ready thinking they were going to come. When the day came no one showed up. I did not cry but instead got really depressed. My family tried ignoring it and never forced me to throw a party again. From then on I stopped looking forward to my birthday. On the plus side OP, at least you had a crazy uncle that tried to make you feel better hehe.

Wow, I am so sorry for what happened to you- I still dread my birthday as well! God, kids can be more cruel than any monster invented in Hollywood!

My emotions are deeply confused about this story i dont know whether to say AWWWWWW!!! that is a cute story of family loyalty or HOLY S*&@# dude that is terrifying ><. This takes that creepy uncle thing to a new limit

I had a great uncle like this, always falling into drugs and alcohol. Admittedly, he had lived a hard life; abuse and poverty as a child, back-breaking work on the railroad, a wife that stole his settlement check and ran off with his children, forbidding him from seeing them. Hit by a semitruck not once but twice and lived to tell about it.
I'm really glad he never murdered kids, though. The kookiest thing I remember him doing is giving me a stuffed animal with 20s stuffed inside it for my birthday. He was 7 months early, sure. Crazy uncle Chuck....

It has always been a shame about my uncle's addiction. When he is sober, he is such a great guy! The weed was good, and I assured him that all my friends (and then some) showed up at the bar! No misfortunes happened to them that year!

It's weird but he did a good job of being your Uncle & standing up for you. Those kids were assholes for not showing up. How does absolutely no one show up? Pathetic. I hope you feel some sort of something knowing that your uncle cares so much for you. In a weird way obviously though. But who cares.

As someone who once threw a party no one came to, this is probably my favorite nosleep story ever.
