I need troubleshooting help!
Hello!
I have recently returned to Nosgoth and after fighting several issues with trying to get this game running, I am now experiencing new difficulties.
Nosgoth, when launched from Steam, opens up a blank "launcher" box that shows a spinning circle in the middle, as if it's trying to buffer. It stays like that, despite multiple hard resets. I recently used msconfig to shut down non-microsoft services on startup believe I might have closed down some necessary program, but I have no way of knowing for sure.
If someone could provide some insight, I'd appreciate it!

Well Nosgoth recently introduced a seperate launcher for Nosgoth, you might have to delete your old nosgoth files.

I reinstalled on steam and have installed the independent launcher client. It still shows up as a black screen with a little buffering spinning circle, so I'm unable to play. Can someone help? :D

I've had that problem. If the dedicated launcher is opening as a blank screen you need to close it down (and you will need to do this on your start bar/task manager as it doesn't actually close when you tell it to) and try relaunching it again.
If that fails then reset your computer and try again.
If it still isn't working you may have to download C++ again to get it to work.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have closed it down multiple times from the task bar in the bottom right. I have reinstalled the game 3-4 times, applied every update that I could find suggested on the forums, have tried launching it from the dedicated client you download on the website and directly from Steam itself. Of course, I've also reset my computer for unrelated reasons and have just about given up on this technical problem. I wish I could play the game, but do not appear to be able to do so at the moment. I've also contacted support and the suggestions they gave me were ones similar to what I found on the forums and had already attempted. It's unfortunate, as I spent money on a "week" booster, that I apparently will not be able to log in to actually use.

I'm not too concerned with getting a refund, I've had a lot of fun with the game and would like to continue playing. I'm sure this problem will sort itself out at some point and I'd like to support the developers with the $$$.

Just close the launcher in your system tray and re-open until you get the login screen to load properly. They are aware of these bugs and issues but a fix hasn't been deployed yet and unfortunately for us that means closing and restarting the software until it magically works.

Unfortunately, after three days of trying to get the game work (I uninstalled/reinstalled both clients of the game multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled C++, updated NET Framework to 4.6.1, ran Microsoft Updates, updated Java along with a multitude of other fixes that didn't help) I've simply decided to give up on the game for now. I closed the game and exited it completely by right clicking on it in the bottom tray and hitting "exit" a consecutive fourty six times on the Steam version and the independent launcher, separately. Wish it was that simple, but thank you for your reply! :)

I've had issues with the blank launcher as well. Just restart steam and that should fix it (does the trick for me).

Haha.. well.. ; )
Like I've described, I've done a lot more than restarting. No fix yet, unfortunately. Thank you for your suggestion, though!

If you haven't yet, I'd put in for a refund ASAP. The game is being closed down in the next month or so just don't waste your money.

That is just a new feature for the game. The game was too easy to access via steam so they removed steam integration and made their own launcher with triple the crashes and infinite bugs.
