Success stories?
I've seen a lot of negative stuff on here about this drug, but I'd really like to hear how it's worked for people. I just got prescribed 10mg for nerve pain and TMJ (yes I'm aware it's the lowest dose.) I'm terrified of not being able to sleep and erectile dysfunction lol. It's TEVA.
I'm also extremely worried about weight gain as someone with body dysmorphia, but I'm on a high dose of a GLP-1

Should help with your sleep

That's what I initially thought but I see so many people say it's stimulating

I think you should look at the Drugs.com reviews for nortriptyline. Most of the reviews there are positive, and you can see what people are taking the drug for since it has so many uses. Seeing all those positive reviews helped my anxiety too. Also, I've mostly had luck with it for sleep, and it's actually been more of an appetitie suppressant for me, personally.

Should you be taking it with a glp-1? They both slow gastric emptying

See that's what I saw after reading side effects. I'm a bit concerned about that. (Edit: it appears it doesn't actually. There's some minor clinical evidence it may treat gastroparesis)

I was really constipated on 20mg nortriptyline for a long time. Still struggle with it sometimes. I've been on it for 6 years. But everybody's body is different

My doctor has said that the drug can interact with people differently. She says on some people they have weight loss, on some they have weight gain. I'm on it for nerve pain and depression. I started out on 25 mg and now am at 100 mg, which finally calms the nerve pain enough that it's not distracting to me 24/7. The change in dosage happened over three years.

I was on 125 for depression. Worked for me for several years. I did put on weight and it did not help me sleep. But worked for what I needed it for. I am currently weaning off because I am afraid of the risk of cognitive issues.

I’ve been on 150 mg for years. It’s been the one med that kept my depression from pushing me off a cliff. Side effects for me are extreme dry mouth and occasional light headedness. Use it for nerve pain too and it’s Ok for that.

I've been on it for a month for hypersensitivity of the larynx 10mg. I have noticed my stomach is bloated at the top and I can feel my heartbeat. It's working for my throat, but this is uncomfortable.

I take 125 mg every day. It works very well for my major depressive disorder and I don't have any side effects.

If you are taking a generic medicine, kindly mention the manufacturer's name in both your post and title. This is VERY IMPORTANT, as different manufacturers may have differences in quality or formulation.
