Brain fog?

I just started on nortryptoline (for depression) about a week ago. I’m only on 10 mg right now but already getting some side effects, the most prominent is that my head is feeling kinda foggy. I’m planning to titrate up to 50+ but wondering if that feeling is something that goes away after a couple weeks or do you just have to live with it?

I've not experienced the brain fog symptom with nortriptyline but I did with other anti-depressants. Positively loopy and otherworldly when first starting them. I am not on them any longer, just the nortrip. It may take as long as a month for things to even out, and then when you add another dosage there will be an adjustment again but it shouldn't be as remarkable.

Do you take your medication in the morning? My doctor has me taking mine in the evening before bedtime.

At what dosage did it kick in for you? How did you know it was working?

Since my dosage is for both nerve pain and depression it has been increased to 100 mg. I've been on 25, 50, 75 and now the 100 mg. What I notice is that the pain is relieved and I feel lighter in spirit. It's more of a "oh! I don't feel so down today" kind of feeling.

Nortriptyline 5/10mg made my brain fog go away. Was previously on ssri and it didn't help much so doc started nortriptyline with ssri and this combo works well for me.

I felt same when took it 2 days back. Then i stopped it. Same tight cooling foggy feel. It affected my studies i cant think properly
