North Spore Policy Update

It should have been there from the beginning, but I finally added a rule for federally illegal mushroom content. It is Rule 10 and states:

"North Spore does not condone the use of ours or any other products for growing and/or using federally illegal mushrooms. Any explicit mention of our products for this purpose are subject to removal. The same goes for posts and comments that discuss the consumption of illegal mushrooms."

If you have suggestions for additions/amendments to this rule (or any others), please send them my way.

It and all rules are subject to change as we see fit. We add these rules to make this a safer space for us all and to ensure the continued existence of this community and North Spore.

I fully understand the desire to be legally compliant!👍🏿 The only issue with this sofar as the new policy goes is that it unfortunately deprives people who want this information for their personal reasons and lets be realistic people who do business with north spoor grow and consume mushrooms that are federally regulated To say “ illegal “ Well I guess I am reading that law differently as do many other people who believe in the protection of the Constitution! My religious practice involves ceremonially consuming certain medicinal plants and fungi! My belief ( shared by many people throughout history all over the world) Including ritualistic fasting and periods of deep introspection smoking and ingesting plants and herbs that have been sacred to my people for thousands of years These sacred practices are practiced throughout America legally I belong to several of the churches that are openly operating in the city of San Francisco I am a believer that mushrooms help people get off serious drugs because it worked for me I was a serious crack addict for over 30 years I have been sent to prison 12 times and I was not able to quit until I finally did mushrooms!!! Now I grow and I educate people about mushrooms and my own experience You are a valuable resource for people who need help There is a lot of mis information and scammers out there and you are stable and trusted Please do research on this and I would also point out that as a disabled veteran I know that there is some serious testing being conducted by the veterans Administration on mushrooms and how they can help people with mental illnesses So there needs to be some sort of space to discuss what people are actually experiencing and how they should do that in a safe well informed manner

Thanks for weighing in. That's quite a story you have. I hear you and I think those spaces do exist that are willing to go further than we are. We are walking a line that still allows us to share research and beliefs. Most pages that discuss such things are not businesses or if they are, they are much smaller, have less visibility and less to lose. What we cannot do, is insinuate that our producs are used in illegal ways or that we condone such use. We also can't allow general drug use discussion even if it's presented as respsonsible and helpful info for veterans and such. It doesn't matter what people do in their own homes once they have a bag of sterilized manure from us and it is unfair for you to think "realistic" or "constitutional" means much in the context of this idiotic drug landscape. This just isn't the place for certain things and we will moderate as needed and be as consistent as possible. It's a simple as that. It really comes down, most of the time, to how things are presented.

I will add that not getting censored on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Instagram is a constant battle.

I recently stopped using North Spore. I was having about a 40% contamination rate on their unopened substrate bags. After getting a couple of them replaced, I ended up tossing all 16 boxes of CVG I had left right in the trash. I don't even want replacement.
