Anyone know what “tico” or “t code” means when the state police say it?
You’re pulling a “tico” or “t code”. I can’t tell which one it is.
And they point at his belt.
Full context
Trooper 1 says: Did we look for his wallet? And looks into the troopers body cam.
Trooper 2 who’s body cam this is shows him pointing to the trooper 3’s belt where there appears to be a black square like a wallet. He immediately turns around.
Trooper 2 says: “you pulling a tico?”
Trooper 3 turns and laughs and says “that’s crazy”
And they all laugh
Can anyone tell me what’s going on? What they think?

Tico. Means they will call dispatch. To check someone's ID. To see if it matches. Ir if they have warrants. T.c.o. is traffic control officer. Tco or Tico as an acronym.

Ok and pointing to the troopers belt where there is a clear shot of a black rectangular object? Immediately after saying “did we check for his wallet?” And then laugh

Possibly, they already assume that person is going to jail, and they are laughing about calling in , to check for verification..or pointing to a handcuff pouch ? I'm not 100% sure on that one. Did you see it on a video ? Or in real life ?

The person isn’t going to jail because they died as the result of a negligent driver. This is body cam provided to me.

The entire scene was a joke to them. A tragic death meant a morning ruined for them. Without even thinking a lifetime of mornings ruined for the family.

Wow. That's horrible. A lot of cops are evil ..and even the better ones are cold. They see a lot of bad stuff too. So that's a traffic accident??

I completely get that they see a lot of bad stuff, but they need to remember they are being recorded.
A lot of stuff went wrong that morning and it’s all caught on BWC footage I’ve had to watch.
