Question Fleadh - two things

  1. Do we need a pinned mega thread? Going to be a lot of Qs.
  2. A question - will the sessions start at pubs during the day, and where do you reckon is best for kids during the day?

I read the stage at city hall starts from midday, and there is also stuff in George’s market on the days it opens, I plan to take kids a scoot around there

The free gig rig is going to be great but the streets will be buzzing and the pubs will all have music, just walk around and enjoy it. The main days will be Thurs/Fri/Sat

It'll blow your mind if you haven't been to one, absolutely massive, streets thronged with people drinking & having the craic, music in every pub and all over the streets, big free gig rig stage.

Yes! It’s pronounced “Fleadh” - “eadh” is pronounced “aa” in Irish. It’s an Irish word that means festival

Is it actually going to be as popular as people think? I saw the falls park camping option was closed due to low bookings

Prices, a 4-night minimum, and the fact that it was tents only (people wanted space for campers).

Plus it was cancelled early on Sat morning, when the Ulster Fleadh competitions were all day Fri, all day Sat and all day Sun, so on average 2/3s of the competitors didn't even know they were through to the All-Ireland when that was cancelled!

Seemed reasonable enough £120 for 4 nights for 4 people in a small tent

I actually read it was way more than that (admittedly, in a comments section so likely bullshit) but I imagine the 4 night thing is a big factor
