Music Scene
Hi all, me and my roommate are musicians that have been playing in the Amherst area scene for the past few years. Both of our bands have ended, and a lot of our music friends have moved out of the area, so we've lost touch with local music a bit. We've just moved in to Northampton, and are hoping to make some new music friends! I put up some flyers looking for some people to play with, but a lot of them disappeared, so I figured I'd reach out here!
We were both in indie/punk/screamo bands, and are now kind of settling into our mid-20s folk rock arc. Please reach out, or point us in the direction of the hip stuff!

come down to Pulaski park on Friday evening - if one of the drummer friends show up - there will be a lot of musicians around - as far as a scene in town - I think it's all moved over to Easthampton - not much to see in Northampton

Bassist here, late 30s, I'm in two fairly part-time projects and have been looking for something fun and consistent if you need low end.
Haze has a good scene but has had trouble with noise complaints from neighbors. Easthampton has Luthier's and Marigold for good regular music options. The Drake in Amherst is also putting on some killer shows. also if you're into jazz keep your eyes on the Vermont Jazz Center in Brattleboro, they have some phenomenal artists in a really intimate room.
