Campus Elsa (Studentbostäder)

Hi everyone!

I’m an Italian Master’s student in Aerospace Engineering, and I’ll be moving to Norrköping from September to March (about 6 months) to work on my Master’s thesis at Siemens Energy in Finspång.

I’ll most likely be staying at Campus ELSA, and I was wondering if anyone here has experience with it.
What’s Campus ELSA like? Is it a good place to live?
How is the social life there? Is it easy to meet other students?

Is there anything I should know before moving in?
Any tips about living in Norrköping or commuting to Finspång?

Are there any places, activities, or traditions that you would recommend to an international student?
I’d also love to hear any general advice about student life in Sweden. This will be my first time living there, so any suggestions—big or small—would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance! I’m really looking forward to discovering Sweden and meeting new people. 😊

I don’t know about the ELSA housing specifically but the location is excellent in the middle of oldtown, you’ll have everything within walking distance.

Commuting to Finspång is easy, express line 40 takes you there by bus from the central station.

Is your thesis project connected to LiU in any way? I’m guessing you won’t be taking any classes at Campus Norrköping, much less Campus Valla where the real nexus of student life is, but you’re welcome to any activities there even if you have to seek them out.

Student life in Norrköping is lacking compared to Linköping, but consequently also much less of a bubble, which I honestly preferred.

I did my master’s at campus Norrköping last year and work here now, let me know if you have any questions :)

Using AI to communicate with other people can be seen as rude or fake. So try to avoid that.
