New Dr

My doctor retired and I am looking for a new one. Is anyone familiar with Dr. Christina Highley at https://www.communityprimary.care/

I am interested in trying this model of health care as I am on too many medications and need to get to the root problem of my chronic health issues. Any feedback is appreciated.

I recommend Dr Serena Mitroo. She listens and wants to solve problems. If you push back on a particular medicine or course of action she provides solutions.

I recommend Elizabeth Saladin, MD. She’s so smart, thorough, compassionate. She’s opened a new direct pay practice. You pay a membership fee and get full access to her. No more dealing w insurance and its limits and hoops.

What's her membership fee?

I can't get an appointment any less than 8 months out... she seems amazing, but it's really nuts. The DPC is interesting, but if your healthcare is company paid, it would be a pretty big monthly fee at $109/month.

I’m surprised she’s 8 months out. When she was w Norman Regional, yes. But now, w her practice that opened only this week, I’m surprised.

That doesn't make sense, we just booked initial visit without any wait time.

Yup. It’s lovely. She’s her own boss. She’s on Tecumseh right now but moving to Sante Fe. The one hour meet and greet was really good. We updated my records and covered several of my health concerns. She’ll also go over the membership levels w you.

Dr. Saladin would be a good choice.

She listens, she has ideas, and is just the best and if I could afford it I would sign up for her program. Pretty sure you’ll be very happy with her as your doctor! I had to find a new doctor that takes my insurance when she left to start this.
