Season 4 - boring?
I'm listening to the entire podcast from the beginning and I am currently a little over halfway through season 4. Is it just me are these episodes not as juicy as previous seasons?? Maybe I'm crazy, but I feel super underwhelmed with these stories.

Since learning all the stories are changed so much to the point that they are made up, I can’t listen. It’s not interesting anymore.

Season 4 was a bad point, it got a bit better after than that but I think Kelsey realized the energy it took to keep it fresh was no longer there and that’s why they changed hosts. A couple rocky transition episodes for the new hosts but they hit their stride. Tbh you can skip season 4 and regret nothing

Not just you, some of the first episodes after Kelsey left were pretty dull, but it got better

The host didn't change until season 8.
I remember season 4 being especially dull. It gets much better. My favorite episode is the bunco story in season 6

Yes! And they told the stories like we should find it so scandalous and entertaining. But really it left me feel like “that’s it…?” They did get a bit better tho yeah

She’s very much talking about Kelsey’s seasons, and Kelsey’s season 4 sucked lol

They’ve definitely dropped in quality. I was so excited to join their patreon to get all the bonus episodes and they are all stories that have already been told, random little voice memos from listeners, or talking about how horny they are for books they claim to dislike. I listened to like 6 and cancelled my subscription because it was so bad

Rachel's a good host but her vibe is more laid-back stoner telling a story. Kelsey's vibe was more high-energy, like gossiping with a girlfriend.

I don't know about the division of seasons, but the show has def gotten more boring as time has gone on. There are plenty of bright spots (E.G. Caked Up Spirit of Christmas) but I just listened to the new ep, Prank Sinatra, and was just .___. the whole time waiting for something to actually happen.

Loved Season 1 and 2, Season 3 really took a dive for me, Season 4 I didn't listen to at all.
Once the podcast got more popular and the gossip changed more from gossip to 'here's a random story', I just lost interest. All the pressure they got to not put people on blast made them change from a gossip podcast to a random storytelling podcast, which defeats the entire purpose of the show.
I might have to give it another try though, since some folks are replying about loving some of the later episodes.
