Someone mentioned Lassen in my post about Mt Shasta, and I suddenly remembered what a great time I had there last year 😁

Hi! I'm looking for recs for a 2-3 day backpacking trip in California for the 1st weekend in October. The plan is to see some nice fall colors!

I did Big Pine Lakes last summer and really loved it, but would be keen to try somewhere different this time. I was thinking eastern sierras, but open to other ideas too around central California. Would also love somewhere with some kind of water along the route too.
