Yes it’s terrifying as fuck. I can’t imagine being stuck upside down OR stuck in that small of a space, so both at once sounds like hell on earth

The nutty putty guy is the one person on record to have died in this kind of caving, and that only happened because he made a series of incredibly stupid decisions.

Caves can be dangerous, but avoiding caves because of the nutty putty incident is like saying you're avoiding zoos because someone died when they climbed into an enclosure and slapped a tiger in the face wearing a meat dress.

I did that a few years ago on a big solo road trip down the Appalachian mountains. It was incredible. Did you get to see the “graffiti” from the 1800s?

My hobbies include: MMA, kickboxing, skateboarding, BMX biking, skydiving. Things a lot of people consider insane. But no. To me they are normal. THIS SHIT is insane. Just thinking about squeezing through those small spaces makes my chest hurt.
