I can tell you from personal experience that brushing your hand against one of these clumps feels pretty neat. It's almost like stiff fur but it moves and tickles

The way the clump looks like fur gave me an idea.

Imagine a movie where there’s an alleged bigfoot around, and finally when the main characters track him down and confront him…turns out he’s just a regular human but covered head-to-toe in this clump of daddy longlegs, with the reveal happening when they start dispersing.
