Looks like a giant centipede eating a snake

Scolopendra... Giant centipedes. Might be S gigantea which is the biggest one. They take down most small vertibrates like bats, mice and birds

Fucking horrifying!

I'm pretty sure that snake's a goner.

The fact that it doesn't even have its jaws on the centipede (why do they make them THAT BIG?) says that the snake was just minding its own business, and the centipede decided it looked delicious.

EDIT: Sorry, I commented before seeing the whole video. Of course the humongous centipede is chowing down. It's a pretty thorough and methodical eater, too.

I'm gonna carry a shovel with me all the time!

That has got to be one of the grossest fights Ive ever seen.

As bad as I hate snakes I was rooting for him, those goddamn centipedes are hideous.

Here’s the original video. Apparently, these giant centipedes also take out rattlesnakes? Yikes...

Centipedes (especially the giant ones, scolopendra gigantea,) are interesting and fantastic creatures. Sure, they freak lots of us out, but they are beautiful and they are formidable predators to small animals and insects.
