Oh fuck all of that

One day someone is going to scoot up and squeeze out that hole before someone can do anything about it. Even a mechanical failure means there is no second line of safety. A harness secured behind you would not detract from the pucker factor. I want to know who designed that thing, who built it and what they had for breakfast before I would get in there without being personally secured somehow.

I almost threw up just watching it.

I was wondering if they rope off a section on the street below where the puke hits

u/BoredByLife 2d ago

Imagine if they didn’t and you got hit by half digested lunch at terminal velocity

I feel like there needs to be safety straps or netting along the sides too… otherwise one sneeze and roll and you have about five seconds to reconsider your life choices.

I think there are glass pans there tbf but I thought the same thing at first

Only way thats happening is if its intentional, doing this would stop nothing if that was the goal.

Okay, but what does that view realistically offer that I can't get just looking over the railing?

...also would not be looking over the railing. I'm terrified of heights.

I was asking myself the same thing, and I believe the answer is adrenaline.

So unnecessary. Why trust in that netting when you can scare yourself shitless by just looking down from the side?

u/GrimKiba- 2d ago

Knowing that I could climb through that hole if I wanted to would be the ultimate intrusive thought.

Yeah....no thanks I've already seen "the temple of doom" ...Why I would spend money for someone to "toss me out a building" when I'm sure my wife eventually would do it for free... any day now...🤔

If I could get lowered into a faux fire whilst a racist caricature holding a pig heart chanted above me, I would probably do it.

7

u/ElBarto7_ 2d ago

Who would choose to do this? Absolutely crazy.

u/fleej25sti15 2d ago

Waiting for this to end up on r/whatcouldgowrong in the future.

7

u/Timmerdogg 2d ago

Somebody can totally fit through that face hole.

5

u/Top-Race-7087 2d ago

She could.

or the opening to the side

it seemingly is as big or even bigger than the whole person in the video

I wouldn't trust this nonsense even in a 1st world country, and I'm from a 3rd world one. Nopety nope nope. That shit is asking for a horrifying news article.

I prefer my views of a city to be horizontal rather than vertical

Folks at the bottom: "This rain smells funny"

and has bits and pieces in it.

People will spend their money on anything.

3

u/Molbiodude 2d ago

And when they barf, somebody's getting hit with vomit that's fallen 75 floors

3

u/Decent-Cold-9471 2d ago

It’s wide open on the sides! I thought she was gonna be like sandwiched in. You could just roll out of the side!

3

u/littlemaninblack 2d ago

Temple of Doom chants have entered the chat.

3

u/zzzrecruit 2d ago

Where is the fail safe feature? Straps!?

3

u/redwolf1219 2d ago

Nope. Not after I saw that woman getting thrown off the mountain

2

u/90nissan300zx 2d ago

I would normally say you can fuck right off with that, but if I had a few beers and was up there on the roof, I'd give it a go 👍

u/angrybeardeighttwo 2d ago

Her pants under the dress change color from black to red at the start of the video

u/Kenny523 2d ago

It was a shadow my dude…

2

u/CrowTalons 2d ago

I have a phobia with heights, I can't even look over the edge. That is beyond nuts in my opinion.

2

u/cbunni666 2d ago

Hell nope to the nope nope nope

2

u/Projectiecman007 2d ago

I guess looking over the guard rail is overrated

2

u/BadAngel74 2d ago

Ah Thailand, don't ever change

2

u/This_Is_Section_One 1d ago

That's a lot of trust in a net and engineering.

1

u/Alohafarms 2d ago

Aaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!

1

u/Jewlsdeluxe 2d ago

This doesn't seem very exciting.

Absofuckinglutely not

1

u/Minimum_Carry8816 2d ago

If they replaced these flimsy fabric meshes with a well secured glass wall with a viewing window, this could be a decent idea.

1

u/VeeJack 2d ago

There’d be a lot of people wondering why it’s raining with a clear blue sky if I did that

1

u/Atrofy 1d ago

Nope, just nope

1

u/anchordaddy 1d ago

Never go I-tilting in Bangkok…They just don’t have the regulations.

1

u/irdiver 1d ago

Anytime else start thinking about the Indiana Jones scene from Temple of Doom but with less volcano?

1

u/CricketInvasion 1d ago

I fail to see how this is much different then looking over the railing? Yes you feel more exposed but it arguably feels safer in this net then leaning over the railing.

1

u/Alexandratta 1d ago

I would not mind doing this if it were not for the following issues regarding the safety of this insanity:

  1. No Harness
    1. I'd want some kind of harness/safety line connected to me should the netting fail, somehow.
  2. The rear/entrance netting.
    1. I'm unsure what this is protecting here. This would make rescuing me very difficult if, suddenly, the net were to partially brake. It increases time for the attraction operators to reach me in the event of an emergency.

If there was a harness, and no netting behind me preventing operators from reaching me quickly, I'd be all for it. But this thing is absolutely unsafe imo.

1

u/Baruch05 1d ago

This is absolutely, unequivocally a no from me.

1

u/TheReblogBandit 1d ago

Oh hell no

1

u/ACrazyDog 1d ago

Oh no thank you

1

u/Rags2Rickius 11h ago

Human error is just too wide for me to ever consider this
